Over the next year, school districts serving hundreds of thousands of Denver-area students will take a look at whether their sex education classes are doing enough to teach about consent. Earlier this year, Gov. Jared Polis signed House Bill 1032 , which requires school districts that teach sex ed to include lessons about consent. Colorado doesn’t require sex ed, and districts that don’t provide it aren’t required to add the new lessons. Sheridan School District is the only Denver-area district to report that it doesn’t have a sex ed curriculum. Colorado’s standards for health education already recommended teaching about healthy relationships starting in sixth grade, but the new law further defines what that should include. NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There has been an odd twist to the charges of sexual harassment being brought against Gov. Andrew Cuomo . He met his latest accuser at the wedding of one of his top aides, and the aide’s wife is standing foursquare against the governor. Gareth Rhodes must feel like he’s caught between a rock and a hard place — or in this case between his boss and his wife. Cuomo’s latest accuser, Anna Ruch, was a guest at Rhodes’ wedding. Andrew Cuomo, also no stranger to gun control causes. That might come as a shock to those gun owners living in the District of Columbia. It might also come as a shock to the only federal firearms licensee – DC Security Associates . For that matter, someone might want to explain that to the police department itself, which became the sole licensee for a brief period of time.
