On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated that if Democrats can’t come to a bipartisan agreement on voting rights legislation “everything will be on the table to get it done.” And that one of the pieces of leverage he has for Democratic senators is that if Democrats don’t block some state election laws, “the chances of our caucus retaining the majority and people who are up for re-election like Kelly and Warnock winning is greatly diminished.” Schumer said, “[T]here are a number of members of my caucus who say, let’s try things in a bipartisan way. Let’s see if we can get Republicans to join us in dealing with this sacred issue of voting rights, and they’re going to try. And, hey, God bless them. If they can get Republicans to join us in big, bold reform, not dilute half-baked reform, that would be the best way to go. But if they can’t get us to join them, then we will have to put our heads together and figure out a way to … [Read more...] about Schumer: Chances of Keeping the Majority ‘Greatly Diminished’ if We Don’t Block State Election Laws, ‘Everything Will Be on the Table’
More than a hundred parents arrived at the Vail Unified School District meeting Tuesday night to urge the Arizona board to lift its mask mandate, only to find school board members had suddenly canceled the meeting, claiming safety concerns due to the parents’ rally. Parents intended to object to the school board’s decision to keep a coronavirus mask mandate in place, despite Gov. Doug Ducey’s (R) executive order on April 19 that lifted the mask mandate in K-12 schools. According to the Election Wizard website : A throng of parents later pushed their way into the board room while refusing to wear masks and demanded to speak with their elected officials. In response, the Vail board called 911, and Pima County Sheriff Nanos told KGUN 9 , a sergeant and four deputies showed up in just over a minute. The district said the sheriff told the board to adjourn the study session because the crowd was uncontrollable. But the Sheriff says that’s false , the board made that … [Read more...] about Arizona School Board Bolts as Parents Protest Decision to Keep Mask Mandate
The conservative movement in America can “re-energise really, really quickly” and can defeat the woke Democrats as long as activists keep fighting for the cause, Brexit leader Nigel Farage told Breitbart News. Speaking to Breitbart News Network editor-in-chief Alex Marlow on the Breitbart News Daily Show on Sirius XM Patriot on Wednesday, Mr Farage said: “I’ve fought so many elections over the years, and what I can tell you is that if you have a well-organised crew of people on the ground, allied to a get out the vote campaign, you can increase the vote of a candidate by twenty per cent. “Its the least glamourous bit of politics, its not sexy like big TV ads or appearing on Breitbart or whatever it may be, but its a really important part of politics.” Mr, who is currently on tour in America with the grassroots activist organisation FreedomWorks, said he has decided to tour the United States with this message of optimism because he believes if grassroots organisers prepare for … [Read more...] about Keep up the Fight: We Defeated the Establishment and You Can Too! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) “politicized recommendations” regarding masks and distancing in relation to the coronavirus are “not keeping up with the reality on the ground,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow, author of Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption . Cotton noted that President Joe Biden’s ongoing public displays of mask-wearing — which are mirrored by his administration and the broader Democrat Party — signals the impression of permanent crisis despite growing knowledge of the coronavirus and the development of vaccines against the pathogen. “It’s a terrible, terrible communication strategy,” he said. “For any person who has any reason to be hesitant about getting the vaccine, it’s that kind of message of seeing Joe Biden wearing a mask, walking across the South Lawn, holding hands with his wife with no one else in … [Read more...] about Exclusive — Sen. Tom Cotton: ‘Politicized Recommendations of the CDC’ for Masks, Distancing Are not ‘Keeping up’ with ‘Reality’
On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that for their response to President Joe Biden’s speech, “Republicans picked their one black senator, Tim Scott, who gets a lot of work on TV” and agreed with author and historian Nancy MacLean that Scott should ask why Republicans keep “making me run point?” Maher said, “Republicans picked their one black senator, Tim Scott, who gets a lot of work on TV. And he said, ‘America is not a racist country.’ And, within 24 hours, Biden agreed with that, Kamala Harris agreed with that. I think it’s a silly paradigm to put — to begin with. Because it’s not an either-or. … Tim Scott, by his own account, he said one time he was pulled over seven times in a year. He said he’s been followed shopping, he’s the one black Republican senator, okay, this is evidence of racism. So, plainly, we’re a recovering racist country or something. But yeah, I mean, both things are true.” MacLean then said, “I felt sorry for the man. I mean, … [Read more...] about Maher: Tim Scott ‘Gets a Lot of Work on TV’ – Why Does GOP Keep Making Him Run Point?
