ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Traveling across the rugged, unforgiving and roadless Alaska terrain is already hard enough, but whatever comforts mushers previously had in the world’s most famous sled dog race will be cast aside this year due to the pandemic. In years past, mushers would stop in any number of 24 villages that serve as checkpoints, where they could get a hot meal, maybe a shower and sleep — albeit “cheek to jowl” — in a warm building before getting back to the nearly 1,609-kilometer Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. When the race starts Sunday, north of Anchorage, they will spend the next week or so mostly camping in tents outside towns, and the only source of warmth — for comfort or to heat up frozen food and water — will come from their camp cookers. “It’s a little bit old school,” said Iditarod CEO Rob Urbach. (CNN) Manchester United ended Manchester City 's 21-game winning streak with a brilliantly executed 2-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. A Bruno Fernandes goal and a rare strike from defender Luke Shaw were enough to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side a confidence boosting win in the derby. Coming into the Premier League match, City hadn't lost in all competitions since November 21 and was facing a Untied side short of form based on recent performances. However, it took the visitors just 101 seconds to take the lead through Fernandes' spot-kick, the talisman's 16th league goal of the season. And United was deserving of all three points. Photo: Jeenah Moon/Getty Images Several more women have come forward to accuse New York governor Andrew Cuomo of inappropriate conduct — including two publicly — while other former aides claim that Cuomo fostered a toxic work environment with his often emotionally abusive behavior toward staff. The new allegations were published Saturday by the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal , and follow two former Cuomo aides accusing the governor of sexual harassment, and a third woman coming forward who said Cuomo grabbed and kissed her at a wedding they both attended. On Wednesday, Cuomo attempted to offer a blanket apology for making any women uncomfortable with his behavior, but denied touching anyone inappropriately and refused to resign over the growing scandal.
