Randy Cordova Arizona Republic Published 8:37 AM EST Feb 17, 2019 Amy Grant was only 16 years old when her first album came out in 1977. That means she's been in the public eye for most of her life: first through Christian-music success, then the heady days of pop-music stardom in the '80s and '90s. She has won six Grammys, 22 Dove Awards and created songs that have become modern classics, ranging from the stirring "El Shaddai" to the giddy pop pleasure of "Baby Baby." But despite that imposing resume, she sounds remarkably centered and friendly. At 58, she's looking forward to a year focused on family – she's married to Vince Gill –) and is happy to talk about how Marie Kondo helped change her life. But first, she's coming to the Celebrity Theatre on Feb. 22, and she's got a story about the theater-in-the-round, too. Question: How is the year shaping up for you? Answer: My projects this year: I have an April wedding, then the May … [Read more...] about Amy Grant is just like us: She has bad days and loves to declutter

Anyway, the record still holds a special place … [Read more...] about Festival Pass: Just Like Heaven doubles down; time travel to Coachella 2008

WE HUMANS like to worry. It’s in our nature. Here’s what Jesus said about worrying: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or … [Read more...] about Just like the kids and Santa, you have to believe!
