Seven ducklings hatched on the roof of the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten in Asbury Park, then wanted to follow their mother to the ground Thursday. When her boss, Jennifer Lampert, arrived Thursday, the mother duck was on the ground quacking, Alfro said. Then she felt something brush by her and realized the ducklings were jumping. “I turned to walk into the building and something flew right by my shoulder and dropped to the ground,” Lampert told 1010 WINS. “I looked and it was one of the ducklings. MIAMI (CBSMiami/CNN) — Timing is everything, especially when it comes to spectacular photography. Just ask Rusty Escandell, a lucky photographer who captured an epic photobomb when a giant manta ray leaped out of the water as he was taking pictures of surfers off Satellite Beach. Escandell said he took the photograph on March 14, while spending the day with family and friends at a beach near Officers Club Beach at Patrick Space Force Base, but he didn’t realize it until he got home. Report: American Awareness of Christian Persecution Jumps
Americans’ awareness of global hostility toward Christians made a leap forward in 2021, according to a survey released this week. Most significantly, the poll revealed that 57 percent of U.S. Catholics believe the persecution of Christians around the world is “very severe,” up from just 41 percent a year ago, a jump of 16 percent. Moreover, nearly 50 percent of U.S. Catholics recognize that half or more of religiously based attacks around the world are directed at Christians, and 67 percent say they are “very concerned” about the issue.
