OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – The Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders are moving in opposite directions heading into a stretch run. The Titans (7-5) have won five of six games since switching to Ryan Tannehill at quarterback, turning a mediocre season into a promising one headed into Sunday’s game against the struggling Oakland Raiders (6-6), who are one game behind Tennessee in the race for the final wild-card spot. “I think guys kind of know what’s at stake, know we need to win as many games as we possibly can to put ourselves in position to win the division and make this playoff run,” Titans safety Kevin Byard said. “So I think guys are going to be locked in.” The Raiders are trying to get back to that form after back-to-back lopsided losses to the Jets and Kansas City, marking the first time since 1961 the team lost consecutive games by at least 30 points. Despite that, Oakland is only one game behind Tennessee and Pittsburgh in the race for the … [Read more...] about Titans, Raiders Headed Into Opposite Directions Heading Into Sunday Showdown

‘Game of Thrones’ Finale Director: No ‘Romantic Jealousy’ in Tyrion’s Reaction to Jon and Dany’s Boat Sex
“I shouldn’t be surprised, I suppose. She’s your kind of woman,” Cersei snarls at Tyrion, referring to Daenerys, in Game of Thrones’ explosive seventh season finale. “A foreign whore who doesn’t know her place.” Her words reverberate again as Tyrion lingers outside his queen’s door, as she and Jon Snow (aka Aegon Targaryen) finally consummate their season-long affection and have sex. While Jon and Dany roll around in the sheets and Bran’s voiceover confirms Jon’s parentage and his birth name, Tyrion looks curiously morose. It’s more than apprehension on his face, more than a weighing of the strategic disadvantages of their union. It’s a look of personal heartbreak—right? The ambiguity of Tyrion’s reaction to his queen’s latest, greatest, totally incestuous love affair set the internet ablaze with wild hypotheticals. Tyrion is in love with Dany, some deduced. A decades-old pitch letter … [Read more...] about ‘Game of Thrones’ Finale Director: No ‘Romantic Jealousy’ in Tyrion’s Reaction to Jon and Dany’s Boat Sex
‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Finale Predictions: Jon Snow and Dany Make Love, the Wall Will Fall, and More
It’s all led to this. Sunday night’s Game of Thrones finale will bring a who’s-who of Westeros royalty together for the first time: Daenerys Targaryen, joined by Jon Snow, Tyrion, Davos, and The Hound, will converge in the Dragonpit for her first-ever meeting with Team Cersei. There are a hundred dangling questions this episode might answer: Is Cersei really pregnant? Will The Hound and The Mountain finally duel to the death? Where are Sam and Gilly headed? What the hell is up with Arya? And, hey, remember the Greyjoys? They were important once, right? We might not know what Cersei is plotting under the official guise of inviting everyone over for a friendly show-and-tell about winter and wights. But we do have a few solid predictions about what else to expect in “The Dragon and the Wolf,” the epic 79-minute finale. Prepare yourself for more sex, murder, and intrigue, and the beginning of the end of Game of Thrones. That Wall’s Gonna Fall Long … [Read more...] about ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Finale Predictions: Jon Snow and Dany Make Love, the Wall Will Fall, and More
‘Game of Thrones’: Is Tyrion Going to Break Jon Snow and Daenerys Apart?
So much of Game of Thrones’ seventh season finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf,” felt like a checklist of inevitabilities finally realized onscreen: the fall of the Wall under dragon fire; Jon and Daenerys consummating their love; Bran at last confirming, for all to hear, Jon Snow’s true parentage—and his real name, Aegon Targaryen, to boot. The Hound confronts his undead brother; Cersei alienates her last confidante and other half. These events progress naturally from a season or more of set-up. They make sense. But not every step forward rings true here. There are “twists” the episode doesn’t quite justify, chief among them the deadly culmination to Arya and Sansa’s clunky arcs this season. Other hints at new story directions come bewilderingly out of left field. (Could Tyrion be in love with Daenerys? That curiously morose shot of him outside Dany’s door seems to want us to consider it.) The episode also glides over certain … [Read more...] about ‘Game of Thrones’: Is Tyrion Going to Break Jon Snow and Daenerys Apart?
Latest Montana Poll Shows Democratic Sen Jon Tester Barely Ahead Of Republican Challenger
A poll shows Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester barely leading his Republican challenger, indicating the seat might be within reach for the GOP. A survey conducted by Montana State University and the Montana Television Network shows Tester beating state auditor Matt Rosendale, his Republican opponent, by 3 percentage points. The poll — released Monday — shows Tester pulling in 46 percent of registered voters to Rosendale’s 43 percent. Over 6 percent of respondents said they are still undecided. The survey suggests a neck-and-neck race just two weeks ahead of Election Day. “In just 19 days, the people of this incredible state are going to send Matt Rosendale to the Senate to protect your jobs and your second amendment,” President Donald Trump said at a rally in Missoula, Montana, on Friday. The rally — meant to bolster support for Rosendale and other statewide Republican candidates — was Trump’s third … [Read more...] about Latest Montana Poll Shows Democratic Sen Jon Tester Barely Ahead Of Republican Challenger
