Jessica Alba Flaunts Baby Bump On The Way To Beverly Hills Meeting

Jessica Alba was spotted on her way to a business meeting in Beverly Hills early this week. The Hollywood actress appeared to be makeup-free and donning a simple garb, but what’s most striking about Alba’s latest public appearance is her very big baby bump. With just a couple of weeks left until Alba and husband Cash Warren welcome their first son together, one would think that the actress and businesswoman would be busy preparing for the birth of her baby boy. However, Alba seems to still be engrossed with her household products company as she was spotted out and about on Monday morning while making her way to a business meeting. In the photographs published by Daily Mail, the 36-year-old actress is seen wearing a tight gray jersey dress, a maroon chenille cardigan and black lace-up boots. Alba also appeared to be wearing gold jewelry on her neck and her ears, and she used a large black leather satchel bag to carry all her essentials for that day. The “Sin City” star was noticeably makeup-free, and she completed her low-profile getup by piling her honey-colored locks atop her head in a loose bun. The look is almost identical to the one she had when she went to Rodeo Drive last Saturday. At the time, Alba was spotted by InStyle wearing a peach dress, a pink and white striped duster, and a pink satchel that was slung across her chest. Alba and Warren, 38, are currently expecting their third child. They are already parents to two daughters, Honor, 9, and Haven, 6. The couple first announced the pregnancy news in July by uploading an adorable Boomerang video to Instagram, showing the actress and her daughters holding “1, 2, 3” balloons. Alba captioned the post: “Cash Warren and I are officially going to be outnumbered.” Meanwhile, Warren has previously admitted to Daily Mail that his wife impressed him for maintaining her sexy figure despite the pregnancies. “I’m always impressed by how hot she is. Jessica Alba feeling the heat after shoppers say her sunscreen doesn’t work

Not so “honest”? Jessica Alba is under fire after a Chicago mother claims the actress and entrepreneur’s brand of sunscreen is worthless. Gretta Stabler says that even after reapplying The Honest Company’s SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion to her 6-year-old daughter four times in three hours, the young girl left the pool covered in burns. “She got really burned on her arms, shoulders, legs, face, pretty much everywhere. I was angry,” Stabler told NBC Chicago. And she’s not the only unhappy customer. NBC Chicago reports it found more than 200 complaints online about the product. Any many product reviews on the web aren’t much better. “This is hands down the worst sunscreen ever,” wrote one Amazon reviewer. A disappointed Costco shopper posted on the warehouse club’s site: “My wife and I both applied liberally, but ended up getting burned in just a little over an hour. Will not use again.” Stabler also bought her bottle from the big-box store. The Honest Company, valued at $1 billion, makes household items with organic, nontoxic ingredients. The brand just introduced a line of feminine hygiene products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration told NBC Chicago that companies must test their own products — but that it doesn’t verify that testing or mandate that they make results public. In an investigation, NBC Chicago found that The Honest Company had reduced the lotion’s zinc content — the active ingredient — from 20 percent to 9.3 percent at some point. Other zinc sunscreens the station tested had levels ranging from 18 to 25 percent. NBC Chicago reports that the product is now “out of stock” on The Honest Company’s web site and that it can no longer be found in some other stores like Target, but the brand told the news station it wasn’t pulling it. ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ trailer released: Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson return in sequel to 2005 cult classic

It's all there in black and white. Fans got the first good look at the upcoming "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," when the trailer to the sequel to the 2005 comic book noir debuted on Yahoo! Movies Wednesday. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and based on the graphic novels of Frank Miller (who also co-directed the film), the movie picks up where the original left off - with beautiful ladies, whiskey-swilling men in over their heads and torrents of bullets. "Sin City's where you go in with your eyes open, or you don't come out at all," sums up Joseph Gordon-Levitt 's Johnny in the trailer's opening voiceover. Back for another visit to "Sin City" are Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke, barely recognizable under the rubbery makeup. Several new faces have also joined the cast, including Josh Brolin, who takes over for Clive Owen as brooding loner Dwight. This time around, Dwight has fallen for the wrong woman: Eva Green's titular femme fatale. The first "Sin City" was a modest hit, earning $74 million at the box office. "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" hits theaters on Aug. 22. ON A MOBILE DEVICE? CLICK HERE TO SEE VIDEO. Join the Conversation: Continue Reading

Jessica Alba drawn to ‘Escape From Planet Earth’ to act in movie her kids can see

Jessica Alba was drawn to her first animated movie for a very specific reason. “Escape From Planet Earth,” opening Friday, is a little more age-appropriate for her 4-year-old daughter, Honor Warren, than say, “Machete Kills” or “Sin City.” “Rarely do I get an opportunity to make a movie that my kids could see,” the 31-year-old bombshell told the Daily News. “When it comes to me doing movies, she’ll come on the set and pretty much think I sit in a trailer and get different hair and makeup done. She has no idea. “So it’s nice to show her this is what I do.” Even if she’s barely recognizable in her debut as a villain — a scheming, big-headed blue alien who runs a space agency that must rescue its prized astronaut, who has been captured on “the Dark Planet,” aka Earth. “She did ask me, though, after she saw it, ‘Mommy, was it hot when you wore that mask?’ ” says Alba, laughing. “Was it hot? I was like, ‘Oh, my God, she doesn’t know the difference between live action and animation. “It’s like Santa or the tooth fairy — as long as you believe it, I’m going to go with it.” Alba joined one of the biggest casts in the known universe for the PG-rated film — one that also includes Sofia Vergara, William Shatner, Brendan Fraser, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jane Lynch of “Glee.” “The thing that was surprising to me is even though they’re such big stars, a lot of them hadn’t done animation before, so they came in really looking for a safe place to make mistakes and try things out,” says director Cal Brunker. Cutting loose and acting “completely crazy” in the recording booth is something that Alba says she has been itching to try since she was a young animation fan, when Continue Reading

Kari gets a career makeover

Most denizens of L.A.'s Hollywood scene dream of becoming actors. But Kari Whitman has been there, endured that."I was so unhappy as an actress," she says. "I mean, sitting around all day waiting for the phone to ring and dealing with people's judgment. It was so not me."So the former actress - she's appeared in dozens of TV series from "Baywatch" to "The X Files" - chucked showbiz for a business of her own, opening an interior design firm about nine years ago and trading on her insider status to land celebrity clients. "Emilio Estevez gave me one of my first acting jobs" - she played his girlfriend in "Men at Work" (1990) - "and he ended up being one of my clients," she says. "It's the nepotism of Hollywood."Now she's come full circle - in a way - landing her own TV series on WE: "Designer to the Stars.""I was an okay actress," says Whitman, "but I think I'm a really good designer."With a 2-1/2-year waiting list for her services, she's obviously not the only one who thinks so. And, she says, she's never had an unhappy customer."I would die if a client didn't like a room," she says. "I would be so upset."The eight-episode series, which premieres with back-to-back segments Saturday at 10 p.m., follows Whitman as she remakes the homes of celebrity clients including Jessica Alba, Kristen Bell, Mario Lopez and Virginia Madsen, who hires Whitman to create a Polynesian-themed room."I thought, 'How am I going to make this elegant,'" she says of Madsen's desire for what at first blush sounds like tiki kitsch. "But I love that. I have to think. I love the challenge."The biggest roadblock Whitman encounters among her clients is the almost universal unwillingness to part with old junk. "People become so attached to stuff," she says. "I'm not a psychologist or a therapist, but sometimes I feel like one."But Whitman is a dog therapist, of sorts. She's rescued countless discarded, abused dogs, placing them in loving homes through her nonprofit Ace of Hearts. Both of her own Continue Reading

Hollywood's hot couples were out in force on Oscar night. But while some bronzed themselves in camera flash, others dodged the shooters. Madonna did her best to dispel rumors of marital discord by making sure every photographer outside the Vanity Fair party got a picture of her with smiling husband Guy Ritchie. Likewise, reunited couple Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton trumpeted their love. "I'm a lucky palooka," Bolton told us as he admired his Desperate Housewife. He even sang to her: "Love is lovelier, the second time around ... " Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, on the other hand, came separately to editor Graydon Carter's exclusive party at Morton's. Seeing him, Aniston screamed, "Baby! " and ran over to her big lug for a long kiss. Later, they evaded the lensmen by sneaking out a side exit. George Clooney and Krista Allen also kept photographers guessing. The Best Supporting Actor celebrated his win at Dan Tana's with Madonna and Guy, Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky, and other friends. But "The Insider's" Marc Malkin says he heard that Clooney and Allen also slipped out the back while the Ritchies distracted paparazzi. Among the other devoted duos at the Vanity Fair bash: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban (touching each other under a table); Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony; Sandra Bullock and Jesse James; Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel; Rachel Griffiths and Andrew Taylor; Jessica Alba and Cash Warren; Jennifer Jason Leigh and Noah Baumbach; Brittany Murphy and Joe Mancuso, and Kerry Washington and David Moscow. Revlon billionaire Ron Perelman turned up stag at the party, where he hit it off a few years back with soon-to-be-ex-wife Ellen Barkin. Keanu Reeves came without Lynn Collins. Hilary Swank, who's been working her way back to hubby Chad Lowe, arrived without him - but she was wearing her wedding ring. Swank, who presented Philip Seymour Hoffman with his Best Actor trophy, reassured the "Capote" star when he forgot to Continue Reading

MORE MEN WANT Hollywood siren Jessica Alba as a girlfriend than any other hottie in Hollywood, according to a new Internet survey. The 24-year-old sex kitten, who once dated Yankee star Derek Jeter, nudged out runners-up Sienna Miller and Angelina Jolie as the catch of all catches to have children and grow old with. More than 2.4 million men were quizzed, and "The Fantastic Four" star scored No. 1 as potential marrying material, said James Bassil, editor-in-chief of "We encouraged readers not to go on looks alone," Bassil said. "I don't believe it's an entirely accurate reflection of what a reader strives for in their long-term relationships, but at the same time, it's not a sheerly surface appreciation." But Alba, who has been romantically linked to actors Wilmer Valderrama and Mark Wahlberg, recently warned that she's high maintenance. "I do not need somebody who wants as much hair and makeup time as me," she told the Los Angeles Times. Others in the top 10 are bombshell Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima, "Access Hollywood" TV correspondent Maria Menounos, Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Eva Longoria. The ‘Wolfpack’ brothers give Marky Ramone’s punk fresh bite; Jennifer Lawrence goes home-shopping in Tribeca

A little moment of Lower East Side punk rock history was made Tuesday night when Marky Ramone played a song with the hipster obsession of the moment, the stars of the new documentary “The Wolfpack.” As the legendary Ramone made a rare appearance behind the drums, with teen brothers (from the movie) Jagadisa and Krsna Angulo on bass and guitar, the impromptu band played the Ramones classic “Blitzkrieg Bop” for a celeb-filled downtown crowd. After the performance, the boys’ mom, Susanne, was seen dancing frenziedly with Susan Sarandon to Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” The raucous prom-theme party at Santos Party House followed the premiere of the 2015 Sundance Grand Jury Prize movie, which follows the six brothers whose father only allows them to leave their LES apartment a few times a year. While cooped up, the boys painstakingly remake their favorite movies, including “Reservoir Dogs” and “The Dark Knight,” with homemade props and develop a unique fashion sense. Also at the party were Olivia Wilde, Dakota Fanning, “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” creator John Cameron Mitchell (who chatted with Sarandon when she wasn’t on the dance floor) and directors Spike Jonze and Bennett Miller. J.LAW HOMES IN ON TRIBECA Jennifer Lawrence was dressed for the perfect summer day while house hunting in NYC. J.Law took to the streets of Tribeca in a pair of denim cutoffs and fedora, while an assistant carried her pooch, to check out apartments. Lawrence, now dating Gwyneth Paltrow ex Chris Martin, was without him on her outing. IS PRATT HOT? YOU BET JURASSIC! “Jurassic World” star Chris Pratt gave his wife, Anna Faris, a couple of Tyrannosaurus pecks on the red carpet at the movie’s world premiere on Tuesday. It’s not surprising: The “Parks and Recreation” actor turned sex symbol/action hero recently told Continue Reading
