The latest victim of Beijing’s whims is Meitu , 1357 -4.13% whose app enables its 116 million users to touch up selfies so they look slimmer or prettier. Sounds innocent enough, but on Friday China’s consumer watchdog accused it of collecting excessive financial and biometric data.
