Berman, a doctor and award-winning radio and television host, told NBC for a segment that aired Tuesday that she and her husband, Sam Chapman, have been left with no choice but to wait for Apple to allow them to access their 16-year-old son’s iPhone because they don’t have the passcode. Hyundai and Kia say they are not talking to Apple about self-driving cars
Hong Kong / Seoul (CNN Business)Shares of Hyundai and Kia plunged on Monday in Seoul after the automakers said they were not in talks with Apple to develop self-driving cars after all. "We are not having talks with Apple about developing self-driving cars," Hyundai said in a statement. The statement added that Hyundai has received requests from "numerous companies" about developing self-driving electric cars, but that "no decision has been made as we are in the beginning stage." Kia Motors, which is owned by Hyundai, referred CNN Business to its parent company's statement. Apple declined to comment. Developer Uncovers Scam Apps Making Millions on Apple App Store
An app developer has discovered a number of scam applications available to consumers in the Apple App Store, some of which have made millions of dollars from unsuspecting iPhone users. 9to5Mac reports that iOS developer Kosta Eleftheriou has been highlighting a growing issue in recent weeks — scam apps available in the Apple app store. Each of the scam apps Eleftheriou found appeared to use the same method including boosting their apparent legitimacy in the app store by purchasing fake reviews. Eleftheriou is the developer of FlickType, a popular Apple Watch keyboard application. Eleftheriou is also of the developers of the Flesky keyboard app which was acquired by Pinterest, and Blind Type which was acquired by Google. A week ago, Eleftheriou began highlighting applications that were basically non-functional copies of FlickType. One app in particular, KeyWatch, was a carbon copy of Eleftheriou’s app, according to the developer.
