Jaci Obst Bell has been around the block. She helped spearhead the development of the Kraus-Anderson (KA) Block in downtown Minneapolis near U.S. Bank Stadium that included the new headquarters for the KA real estate company as well as the construction of the HQ apartments, Elliot Park Hotel and the Finnegans microbrewery. Obst Bell was recently hired by Mortenson Development as a development executive where she will lead the build-out of the Midway “super block” that surrounds the new Allianz Field in St. Paul. Development of the entire 35-acre “super block,” which encompasses land between University Avenue, Interstate 94, Snelling Avenue and Pascal Street, will likely take a decade to complete and cost two to three times the $250 million spent on the soccer stadium itself. Patrick Brennan Cincinnati Enquirer Published 12:35 AM EST Nov 20, 2018 Former Major League Soccer player and New York Cosmos Technical Director Luke Sassano is one of the principal architects for FC Cincinnati's inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2019, but he's not often heard from. Sassano, by his own admission, signed on with FC Cincinnati as the club's technical director last spring well after head coach Alan Koch and President and General Manager Jeff Berding charted a course for FC Cincinnati's 2018 season. But Sassano's been hard at work ever since. He's been settling in in Cincinnati and traveling the world and the U.S. to assess professional and youth talent, among a laundry list of other duties in helping FC Cincinnati ready for the rigors of MLS.
