No one has come forward to report officers using the TigerText messaging platform to conceal evidence, and allegations that they could “make no sense nor do they have any inherent logic,” according to a report released Friday, Dec. 7. The review by veteran former prosecutor Gary Schons, of Best Best & Krieger was launched in September after the news network Al Jazeera published a report in which two unnamed officers claimed they were advised to use TigerText to have conversations they would not want to end up in court cases, including lawsuits over police shootings.
