The move toward more restrained beer styles is one of the most notable aspects of the Bay Area’s current craft beer boom. For the past 15 years, West Coast beer has been dominated by hops, thanks in large part to the success of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in the 1980s, and the cult following around the double IPAs (Indian pale ales) created by Russian River Brewing’s Vinnie Cilurzo in the 1990s. Until fairly recently, if you wanted local craft beer at a Bay Area bar, your choices were typically heavily hopped ales from breweries like Bear Republic, Speakeasy or Lagunitas. … [Read more...] about Hail Beerlandia! ‘I Want to Meet My Teacher’
I am going to get really vulnerable here, and I hope you will have an honest response to this post. Remote Learning is failing. I have three very well-adjusted, typically developing, privileged children who are miserable in school. My middle schooler who had straight As his entire life is getting Cs and Ds. My second grader is now officially reading below grade level. I feel like a huge a*hole complaining because we are healthy, working and have a roof over our heads. Trump impeachment article being sent to Senate Monday, ahead of trial next month
"I was pleased that we worked out a bipartisan schedule," veteran Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., said on "America's News Headquarters." "That gives the president, the former president, his team an opportunity to properly prepare their defense. It also allows us to get some of the business at hand with the president by his cabinet. And these urgent issues where we start from, we have no choice." … [Read more...] about Trump impeachment article being sent to Senate Monday, ahead of trial next month
