MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Macy’s is closing 45 more stores in 2021. The company said it expects to shut down several locations as part of its “rightsizing” plans. “These closures bring us closer to achieving the right mix of mall-based stores,” Macy’s said in a statement, adding Macy’s is “committed to rightsizing our store fleet” by focusing on high trafficked locations within malls. There are two Florida stores scheduled to close, but neither is in South Florida. Google Teams Up with News Corp in International Deal
Google has struck a deal with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp to pay the international media giant for the use of its premium content in the U.S., UK, and Australia, a major win for NewsCorp that could have far-reaching consequences for the relationship between news companies and the Masters of the Universe. Via NBC : The three-year, multimillion-dollar deal announced Wednesday follows a monthslong standoff between Google and Australia over the search giant’s refusal to compensate the country’s publishers, including News Corp., for use of their material.
