U.S. Donald Trump 2020 Election A new campaign poster released by the Republican Party on Monday appears to have taken inspiration from Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, echoing one of the defeated candidate’s most prominent taglines. The graphic features text superimposed over an image of President Donald Trump, declaring, “We're only getting stronger together.” But social media users were quick to note the resemblance to Clinton’s “Stronger Together” slogan, which she used for her unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign.Stronger Together was also the title of a book, penned by Clinton and running-mate Senator Tim Kaine, outlining the campaign’s vision for the future of the country if the Democratic ticket had defeated Trump in 2016.______ pic.twitter.com/Ib5BUTCptO— GOP (@GOP) February 12, 2019 Jesse Ferguson, a former deputy national spokesperson for Clinton, expressed her exasperation at the similarity on Twitter. … [Read more...] about GOP, Donald Trump Copy Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Campaign Line: ‘When You Lose Your Campaign, You Lose Your Monopoly on Any Slogans’

POLITICS 02/12/2019 02:56 am ET Twitter users shred the president and GOP for swiping his former rival's motto. By Ed Mazza A line from President Donald Trump’s speech on border security on Monday was quickly turned into a graphic by the Republican Party. “We’re only getting stronger together,” Trump said at an event in El Paso. Just one problem: “Stronger Together” was actually Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign slogan as well as the title of the book she wrote with running mate Sen. Trump, however, has lifted slogans from winning campaigns as well. His “Make America … [Read more...] about Trump Just Stole Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Campaign Slogan, And People Have Noticed
For 20 months, photojournalist Barbara Kinney followed Hillary Clinton on the 2016 campaign trail, capturing the first-ever female major-party presidential nominee as she walked rope lines and across stages. She’s the one who captured the infinitely meme-able shot of Clinton and former President Barack Obama laughing backstage at the Democratic National Convention. The resulting book, “#StillWithHer: Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Moments That Sparked a Movement,” is an exhaustive tome, and a fascinating visual document of the grueling, day-to-day world of a presidential campaign. It’s also deeply personal. Kinney, who worked at one time as a photo editor at The Seattle Times, documents her own story in the book as well, from getting the plum job with Clinton to the pain of being separated from her daughter. There are also cameos from Michelle Kwan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mary Steenburgen and former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards. Here’s what … [Read more...] about In a new book, photojournalist Barbara Kinney shares a behind-the-scenes look at Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid

This week, that infamous “puppet” clip from the third and final presidential debate of the 2016 election between Trump and Hillary Clinton has been getting a lot of play. In it, Clinton calls Trump a puppet of Putin and he indignantly responds, “You’re the puppet. No, … [Read more...] about Hillary Clinton’s 2016 prognosis of ‘puppet’ Trump proves true
