Supporters of legalizing recreational marijuana in North Dakota have succeeded in bringing the matter to a public vote in November. The group, New Approach North Dakota, submitted more than the required 15,582 valid petition signatures to get a measure on the November general election ballot, Secretary of State Al Jaeger announced Monday. Supporters submitted 26,048 signatures, and 23,368 were deemed valid, he said. The organization’s campaign manager, David Owen, has said the extra signatures show broad support for legalization. Tiger cub found in Texas rapper’s home didn’t actually escape Dallas Zoo
Dallas rapper Trapboy Freddy, who legal name is Devarius Dontez Moore, was arrested on weapons charges Wednesday after police served the 30-year-old a federal warrant. However, police were surprised to also find a caged tiger cub inside the rapper's Oak Cliff home during a search. Animal Services was called to come collect the tiger during Moore's arrest, according to the Dallas Morning News , and the tiger is currently being held in protective custody at an undisclosed location. This tiger cub was found when Dallas police were assisting federal agents with a warrant at the home of Devarius Dontez Moore known as Rapper Trapboy Freddy. CNN Boss Warns ‘More Changes’ Coming After Media Star Gets the Ax
More changes are coming to CNN, network boss Chris Licht told staffers on Friday—and they may not “like” or “understand” these changes at all. During a Friday morning editorial meeting, Licht addressed the previous day’s dramatic announcement that CNN is ending its long-running Sunday media analysis show Reliable Sources and that its star host Brian Stelter will exit the network. “We will continue covering media stories, including on TV, when warranted,” Licht emphasized, multiple sources said, in response to concerns that CNN may no longer cover media issues. He further explained that the Reliable Sources newsletter will relaunch under reporter Oliver Darcy and “we will be expanding our coverage.” Licht added of Stelter: “I really appreciate all that Brian has done to build the media beat for CNN.
