(CNN) HBO's new docuseries, " Allen v. Farrow ," is more than a piercing look at a bitter custody battle between two famous people amid allegations of sexual misconduct. It's the latest in a wave of documentary films that seek to mete out what some may say is long overdue justice. The HBO series explores allegations by Dylan Farrow that her father, filmmaker Woody Allen , sexually molested her in 1992 when she was 7. Allen has repeatedly denied the claims. It comes on the heels of The New York Times' documentary, " Framing Britney Spears ," released on FX and Hulu this month. That film examines how the now-39-year-old pop star faced invasive scrutiny for years and asks why Spears' father, Jamie, still serves as her conservator and controls her financial decisions. 2 Men Killed In Accident At Construction Site On High Street In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) – Two men were killed Wednesday morning in an accident at a construction site in Boston’s Financial District. Relatives of one of the victims said the men fell about 20 feet into a hole after being hit by a truck. Boston police and firefighters, including technical rescue crews, were called to High Street around 8 a.m. after an initial report that multiple people had been struck by a vehicle. (WBZ-TV) The men were found in a hole at the site and the scene shifted from a rescue to a recovery. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Former Leadville Mayor Bud Elliott, well known for his tireless generosity, volunteerism and community service, had a familiar response for anyone who inquired about his well-being — “Sparkly!” Elliott, 70, died Sunday after testing positive for COVID-19, according to the current Leadville mayor and his son’s Facebook post. A Leadville resident since 1994, Elliott served on the city council from 2000 to 2004 before becoming mayor from 2005 to 2013. Friends and colleagues described him as a big man with a big heart. “That is what he said every time I asked him how he was doing, ‘Sparkly!’ ” said Judy Mayne, Aging Well Coordinator at the Lake County Senior Center. “He was well-known for that, he just had that joy for life.” Elliott volunteered for the senior center as a Meals on Wheels driver, Mayne said.
