HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf said Tuesday that teachers will receive doses of the newly approved one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, under a plan his administration will release. In a news conference on a separate topic, Wolf said his administration’s plan will be released Wednesday. He gave few details but said he and a bipartisan legislative task force agreed that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine should be set aside for teachers and then other workers considered to be essential, but who are not included in the first vaccination phase. Concerns Raised Over Zero Bail In Yolo County; What Will It Take For The Order To End?
WOODLAND (CBS13) — The Yolo County district attorney is raising concerns over the zero bail policy. The plan was adopted last year to prevent COVID-19 outbreaks inside jails. It has allowed many who were arrested to be released without bail. Almost 200 people released have been rearrested, the district attorney’s office said. Yolo County’s Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney Melinda Aiello says the DA’s office would like to see an end to zero bail or some form of risk assessment to better protect the public, especially victims while getting people arrested the help they may need. ROCKAWAY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Every day, a New Jersey woman travels to Newark to help people experiencing homelessness, but Tuesday, she took it a step further. She offered for them to spend a day out of the cold and take them to a place they could feel the warmth from the community.
