Border Patrol officials say the driver in Tuesday’s crash near Holtville, California, that left 13 people dead may have entered the U.S. through a breach in an older border wall section. It appears two vehicles loaded with migrants illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico through the breach. At about 6:05 a.m. on March 2, Border Patrol agents in the El Centro Sector found a 10-foot breach in the International Boundary Fence between Mexico and the United States. Officials told Breitbart Texas on Wednesday the breach occurred in an older section of fencing. A few minutes later, agents reviewed surveillance video and observed two SUVs leaving the area near the breach, according to information obtained from El Centro Sector Border Patrol officials. The X Denver apartment building is all about shared community space. Will it and other new projects succeed in the pandemic?
Rents in Denver have fallen during the pandemic, according to a recent market report, but that doesn’t mean apartment developers are any less keen on a city that was a hot spot for rent growth before COVID-19 came calling. In fact, the number of would-be apartments in the planning pipeline for the metro area hit a record 46,000 in December, according to Denver data firm Apartment Insights. X Denver offers traditional studio and one-bedroom apartments inside its 12-story, 455-apartment frame, but the X Company also allows people to rent individual bedrooms with private bathrooms in two-, three- and four-bedroom “co-living” apartments with shared kitchens and common areas. Tenants can … [Read more...] about The X Denver apartment building is all about shared community space. Will it and other new projects succeed in the pandemic?
Denver housing market remains a tough nut to crack for first-time buyers
First-time homebuyers don’t need another report telling them how hard it is to get a foot in the door, but metro Denver continues to rank as one of the least affordable housing markets outside either coast, according to a new study from NerdWallet . The NerdWallet study looked at what multiple of median household income a first-time buyer would have to spend to purchase a home at the average listing price in the 50 largest U.S. metros during the fourth quarter. “The affordability ratio is really a buyer’s tool, to gauge whether a home is a realistic target quickly. Looking at homes three times your income has been generally considered a good place to start, but none of the 50 … [Read more...] about Denver housing market remains a tough nut to crack for first-time buyers
