He would have said, as he did to the Wall Street Journal in 2014, that he thought that there were wounds caused by a sharp-edged instrument, and not just the blunt trauma from the rock and branch admitted to by Reyes. And then they’d go back to Wise’s statement about another boy cutting the victim on the legs, except she wasn’t cut on the legs at all. The other doctor told the Journal that the victim’s legs were swollen with fluid, and showed multiple, distinctively hand-shaped bruises, indicating that several people held her down.
