Jose Alonso, 31, was indicted on a charge of vehicular homicide, a fourth-degree felony, which alleges he was negligent and driving without a valid driver's license when he caused the death of Darla Wulff, 71, of Milton Center. Authorities said Mr. Alonso was southbound on Range Line Road July 15, 2016, when he failed to yield for a stop sign at Range Line and Sand Ridge roads and struck a westbound car driven by John Wulff. Cincinnati Enquirer Published 5:15 p.m. UTC May 27, 2018 Cincinnati Police Department responded to a fatal car crash on Sunday morning shortly after 1 a.m. The incident took place at Interstate 75 at the 5.8 milepost. Daniel Wedig, 21, was driving his sedan northbound in the southbound lane when he collided with Stephen Dehner heading south in his truck. Wedig was critically injured and died at the scene. World Pakistan Diplomacy A U.S. embassy official in Pakistan who was involved in a fatal car crash that killed a 22-year-old man has been prohibited from leaving the country as local officials lobby to have his diplomatic immunity revoked, according to reports. Colonel Joseph Hall was involved in the car crash a little over a month ago. He allegedly ran a red light while driving an SUV, killing the driver of a motorcycle he collided with and injuring a second passenger on the bike. Some Pakistani media reports suggested the military attache was under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place. The government of Pakistan has been applying diplomatic pressure to have him stand trial in the country. On Saturday, Hall attempted to get on a military plane to leave the country, but Pakistani officials prevented him from boarding, according to reports. The event was broadcast on live television. Fatal car crash on Highway 30 near Astoria
A fatal car crash closed Highway 30 near Astoria for three hours Sunday afternoon. Oregon State Police said a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Lori Courtwright, 44, of Warrenton was eastbound when it crossed the double yellow centerline and collided nearly head-on with a westbound Toyota Prius driven by Douglas Morgan, 54, of Astoria. Morgan died on scene and Courtwright was taken to an air ambulance in Astoria and flown to a Portland area hospital with serious injuries.
