close Video Will border wall funding debate trigger government shutdown? Congress has until December 7 to pass seven remaining appropriations bills; reaction and analysis from radio talk show hosts Garland Nixon and Dom Giordano. President Trump on Friday told a national law enforcement conference that Democrats are “playing games” with funding for border security, amid gridlock on Capitol Hill over his call for a border wall. “Congress must fully fund border security. ... We have to get this done, but they’re playing games, they’re playing political games,” he said at the Missouri conference. “I actually think the politics of what they're doing is very bad for them. But we’re going to very soon find out.” Trump put pressure on Democrats hours after signing a stopgap spending bill to fund the federal government for two more weeks, averting a shutdown this weekend. Is Donald Trump’s Border Wall Already Being Built? Construction Begins in Texas on 4-mile-long Section Costing $22 Million
U.S. Donald Trump Immigration Construction on new sections of a partially "see-through" 18-foot border wall in El Paso, Texas, reportedly began over the weekend, bringing President Donald Trump one step closer to seeing construction of his long-promised border wall between the U.S. and Mexico. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency said it started building the wall on Saturday, with the steel structure replacing fencing that had once marked the divide between the U.S. and Mexico, according to Fox News 11. The Department of Homeland Security told Fox the wall is expected to replace a 4-mile section of a former chain link and metal fence. A security agent patrols a construction site of the wall at the border between Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, and Santa Teresa, New Mexico, on April 17. Donald Trump’s border wall could cost much more than estimated, new report says
Rafael Carranza Arizona Republic Published 1:57 p.m. UTC Aug 7, 2018 The cost of President Donald Trump's promised U.S.-Mexico border wall could be much higher than previously thought because the administration has not fully accounted for factors that can add to the price tag, according to a new report from a congressional watchdog agency. The U.S. Government Accountability Office report, published Monday, found the agency overseeing the planning and construction of border barriers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, has identified 17 priority areas for wall construction without doing a cost analysis for each area. The cost to construct 722 miles of barriers in those priority locations was estimated at $18 billion. But costs vary widely depending on topography—increasing with the steepness of the terrain—as well as the price of land, especially in Texas where most parcels along the border … [Read more...] about Donald Trump’s border wall could cost much more than estimated, new report says

President Donald Trump's immigration and border security policies were at the top of the agenda. DHS 'COMPLYING' WITH DACA RULING The Department of Homeland Security responded to a ruling by a federal judge this week and will no longer deport immigrants protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
