The Proud Boys were officially labeled as a terrorist organization in Canada on Wednesday after senior officials said the group poses a serious threat to the country, The Washington Post reported. The declaration follows the Proud Boy’s alleged participation in the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6, where supporters of former President Donald Trump forced their way into the building, the Post reported . The classification allows law enforcement to seize the property of anyone affiliated with the group and banks can retain their assets, The Post reported. Members of the Proud Boys can be denied entry to Canada and it is now a crime to knowingly provide any form of assistance to the group. The Biden administration has moved to withdraw federal support for a lawsuit against the state of Connecticut seeking to prohibit it from letting transgender athletes compete in girls' sports at the high school level, the Associated Press reported Wednesday. The Justice Department's withdrawal came ahead of a Friday hearing in the case over the state's motion to dismiss the lawsuit. The families of three high school girls sued Connecticut officials in 2020 , arguing that allowing transgender athletes to compete in girls' sports forced athletes "to compete against boys." “Forcing them to compete against boys isn’t fair, shatters their dreams, and destroys their athletic opportunities,” an attorney for the plaintiffs, Christiana Holcomb, said last year. “Having separate boys’ and girls’ sports has always been based on biological differences, not what people believe about their gender, because those differences matter for fair competition." The last widespread amnesty, signed by former President Ronald Reagan in 1986, invited a surge of immigration to the United States, allowed terrorists to stay in the country, and inflated fraud, according to a new study.
