Thanks to a settlement of a class-action lawsuit, some consumers of Red Bull products might be entitled to either $10 in cash or $15 in Red Bull products. The settlement covers customers who bought a Red Bull beverage between 2002 and Oct. 3, 2014, but there's a significant catch: The company capped the settlement amount at $13 million. That means returns would start diminishing if more than 1.3 million people apply. It's unclear how many claims the company has received so far, but traffic to the settlement site has apparently been huge enough that it crashed on Wednesday, according to Time. The site appeared to be operational on Thursday afternoon. According to the settlement, Red Bull patrons can receive their settlement money or Red Bull products by four ways: Fill out a claim form on its website; email the claim to [email protected]; fax the claim to 844-533-1373; or mail to Class Action Settlement Administrator at Energy Drink Settlement, c/o GCG, P.O. Box 35123, … [Read more...] about Drink Red Bull? You may have $10 coming to you
THIS is the moment a lad cuts open a can of Red Bull to find a grisly sight inside. Josh Henley had decided to find out what was inside his energy drink but was stunned to find what appear to be a mouse. Josh said he made the grim discovery after he bought a can on Sunday night from a petrol station in Arkansas. The video, which Mr Henley posted on his Facebook shows him slicing the can in half with scissors to reveal what appears to be a dead rodent curled up inside. He said: “I drink Red Bull all the time. “I don't know if it's factory or what but there's a dead rat in here.” MOST READ IN NEWS‘PEOPLE PITY ME’ Beautiful student lost ‘looks, sight and friends’ after horror car crash 'HE WILL CHOKE' Pup died in overhead locker after United staff IGNORED desperate owner PIPE DREAMS Police hunt randy tourist couple filmed romping on beach DRAIN PIPE 'SHE TOLD ME TO' Husband of woman raped and murdered in Grenada reveals why he ran away POWER PLAY … [Read more...] about Disgusting moment man appears to find a DEAD MOUSE in his can of Red Bull
A healthy Arizona teenage girl mysteriously died after drinking an energy drink while vacationing with friends in Mexico, reports say. Lanna Hamann, a 16-year-old student at Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria, was rushed to a Rocky Point hospital on June 14 during a weekend trip with a friend and their parents. The athletic teen, who played softball, was hanging out on the beach when she went into cardiac arrest and died. Her mother was notified shortly after back in Arizona. Her family believes her death is linked to a Red Bull she drank moments before, according to the Arizona Republic, but a cause of death has not been determined. She was apparently dehydrated from not drinking any water in the hot weather. “This is something that could have happened anywhere,” the teen’s crying mother, Kris Hamann, told KPHO-TV. “Whether she was in Mexico or whether she was here … [Read more...] about Dehydrated Arizona teen dies during Mexico vacation after drinking Red Bull
Red Bull didn’t give him wings — it gave him a heart attack, a bombshell lawsuit alleges. Brooklyn father Cory Terry, 33, died during a basketball game after downing the caffeine-laden beverage — and his relatives are blaming the world’s largest energy drink maker. Their $85 million lawsuit, to be filed Monday, is believed to be the first wrongful death suit against Red Bull. The popular drink contains “extra stimulants that make it different than a cup of coffee,” said lawyer Ilya Novofastovsky. “They are more dangerous than what Red Bull lets on.” Red Bull declined to address any particular case. But a spokeswoman says the company has sold some 35 billion cans in 165 countries over the past 25 years “because health authorities across the world have concluded that Red Bull Energy Drink is safe to consume.” Terry, a construction worker from Bedford-Stuyvesant who left behind a 13-year-old son, was a healthy, … [Read more...] about Brooklyn man killed by drinking Red Bull, $85 million lawsuit alleges
The energy drink Red Bull is being considered as a partial contributor to the death of a British student at a club last year.An inquest into the September 2008 death of Chloe Leach revealed Monday that the 21-year-old had consumed around four cans of the caffeine-loaded drink along with several VKs - a vodka-based drink that also contains caffeine - before suddenly collapsing around 3 a.m. on a dance floor in the England city of Hull. Leach had been diagnosed with epilepsy in 2001 and was also believed to suffer from QT syndrome, a condition that affects the electric activity in the heart. Hull coroner Geoffery Saul ruled out drug consumption and excessive drinking, saying that Leach died of natural causes. "Chloe was out that evening enjoying herself with friends as young people do," Saul said. "None of the events leading up to her death reflected badly on her or any of her friends." Dr. Ian Scott, a consultant neuropathologist who spoke at the inquest. Although Chloe was … [Read more...] about Red Bull energy drink eyed in death of British student at nightclub
Nobody can decide what to call this upcoming soccer match in Red Bull Arena, despite a forceful plea from the media and fans to find something that will stick. Is it a rivalry? Decidedly no, not yet, considering there hasn't been a minute of head-to-head soccer between the clubs. How about a Derby? A Clasico? A Series? Most have settled on "The Hudson River" as the starting point of any nickname, the body of water separating two teams assuming they'll learn to detest each other. "I'm sure after the first 90 minutes, we'll hate them more and they'll hate us more," Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips said. How sweet. We're about to find out a little bit more about this thing on Sunday, a small sample size in the form of the first ever match between NYCFC and the Red Bulls. Hopefully any monikers will arrive organically, not manufactured by dueling marketing departments. As with anything these days, the hate and hype started on the Internet. Fans and supporters clubs … [Read more...] about Red Bulls-NYCFC rivalry more hype than substance so far
