By Catherine Pearson, Emma Gray, and Alanna Vagianos 3.2k On Oct. 8, 2016, The Washington Post published footage from 2005 of serial misogynist Donald Trump bragging that as a famous man, he can get away with anything. Like kissing women without waiting for permission. And grabbing women by the pussy. Trump has defended these comments, repeatedly, as “locker room talk.” When pressed by Anderson Cooper during the second presidential debate, he said that he absolutely had not sexually assaulted women. But since Trump’s remarks emerged ― and well before then ― women have shared their allegations of sexual abuse against the Republican presidential nominee. Trump and his administration have repeatedly denied all of the accusations, most recently tweeting that women he didn’t know were making “false accusations.” In … [Read more...] about A Running List Of The Women Who’ve Accused Donald Trump Of Sexual Misconduct

opinion Robert Robb Arizona Republic Published 6:00 AM EST Nov 12, 2018 American politics is stuck on President Donald Trump's Wild Ride. It's time for the rest of us to get off. Trump wants American politics to be all about him, all the time. For the most part, he has succeeded. The exit polls indicate that Trump was the principal factor in how most people voted in the midterms, to express either opposition or support for him. Trump also wants American politics to be played on his terms. He is generally succeeding in that, as well. Trump is a contagious brawler Trump is a political brawler. He has turned all of American politics into a brawl. And everyone else in the game — opponents, supporters and what should be observers — into brawlers as well. After the midterms, Trump held a press conference to proclaim his political dominance. Republicans for whom he campaigned and who “embraced" him won. Republicans who failed to "embrace" him lost. U.S. Two of the more prominent faces in the 2018 midterms, Democratic gubernatorial candidates Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum, both gained national attention as newcomers in Georgia and Florida. To help seal the deal former President Barack Obama campaigned for the candidates in the days leading up to the election. Both will not be in the governor’s mansion next year.Gillum conceded to Florida Republican Ron DeSantis and while Abrams is holding out for a runoff against Republican Brian Kemp, she is behind by more than 70,000 votes as of Wednesday morning. Trump lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani taunted Obama about his failed pitches to voters in crucial swing races, saying the former president could learn a thing or two from President Donald Trump.“The DeSantis/Scott team won critical races in Florida. Also there was no place President Trump campaigned harder and it paid off. Deirdre Shesgreen and Eliza Collins and Nicole Gaudiano USA TODAY Published 11:27 PM EST Nov 6, 2018 WASHINGTON – Democrats moved closer to gaining a majority of House seats in Tuesday’s midterm election, which would knock Republicans from power in that chamber amid a backlash in America's suburbs to President Donald Trump. The result would end unified Republican rule in Washington and give Democrats an opportunity to block Trump’s agenda and check his power. Democrats notched key wins in suburban districts from Virginia to Colorado to Florida, according to early results in Tuesday's election. CNN and NBC News both projected they would win control. “When Democrats win – and we will win tonight – we will have a Congress that is open, transparent and accountable to the American people," California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, told an ebullient crowd at a Democratic election watch party in … [Read more...] about Election results: Democrats closer to control of House
WASHINGTON — Facing a rising tide of outrage from Democrats and some Republicans over the forced separation of migrant children and parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, President Donald Trump dug in Monday, again falsely blaming Democrats in the escalating political crisis. Democrats have turned up the pressure over the policy, and some Republicans have joined the chorus of criticism. Former first lady Laura Bush has called the policy "cruel" and "immoral" while GOP Sen. Susan Collins expressed concern about it and a former adviser to Trump questioned using the policy to pressure Democrats on immigration legislation. Trump continued to cast blame on Democrats Monday, tweeting: "Why don't the Democrats give us the votes to fix the world's worst immigration laws? Where is the outcry for the killings and crime being caused by gangs and thugs, including MS-13, coming into our country illegally?" Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen refused Monday to apologize for enforcing … [Read more...] about Donald Trump says U.S. has ‘worst immigration laws’ as criticism mounts over separations
