So after Trump expressed to reporters on May 9 that he wanted Iran to give him a call, American officials passed a direct telephone number for the White House to the Swiss government, which as a neutral nation represents US interests in Tehran in the … [Read more...] about Iran, please give Trump a call

That year, then-President Barack Obama and host Seth Meyers lit a fire under Donald Trump with a deliciously inventive panoply of insults, teeing off on everything from his New Yawk accent and elaborate coif to his time hosting The Celebrity Apprentice. Trump, a real estate tycoon who’d recently made a name for himself spearheading the racist birther movement against the first black president, was there as a guest of The Washington Post, and with each stinging barb, the camera trained on the stone-faced mogul, seething with anger. He later called Meyers’s remarks “nasty” and “out of order.” “I saw … [Read more...] about Hasan Minhaj Roasts President Trump at White House Correspondents’ Dinner
California Rep. Nancy Pelosi's viral moment with a reporter made easy fodder for this weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live." Wide-eyed Kate McKinnon played Pelosi on "Weekend Update," a segment on which she was asked about her furious reaction to Sinclair Broadcast Group reporter James Rosen's question at a Thursday press conference. "Do you hate the president, Madam Speaker?" Rosen asked. "I don't hate anybody," Pelosi angrily responded. She added: "As a Catholic, I resent your using the word 'hate' in a sentence that addresses me. I don't hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for the president, and I still pray for the president. I pray for the president all the time. So don't mess with me when it comes to words like that." In the "SNL" sketch, McKinnon's Pelosi derisively calls the reporter "Breitbart Ryan Seacrest" and goes on to pray for President Donald Trump. Kate McKinnon as Nancy Pelosi and anchor Colin Jost during Weekend … [Read more...] about Nancy Pelosi’s prayers for Trump spoofed on ‘SNL’
