Trump Must Pay $10K a Day for Refusing to Turn Over Evidence
Former President Donald Trump must pay a $10,000 fine every day until he turns over evidence to New York’s attorney general, after a state judge on Monday ran out of patience with Trump’s persistent refusal to abide by the law. New York Judge Arthur F. Engoron has overseen the AG’s nearly two-year battle to squeeze evidence out of the Trump Organization in the state office’s ongoing investigation into alleged bank fraud at the company. The judge issued his order in court this morning and said contempt was appropriate because of “repeated delays and failures of Mr. Trump.” “Mr. Trump, I know you take your business seriously. And I take mine seriously,” Engoron said. AG Letitia James is reaching what could be the final stages of her Trump Organization investigation over the way the company has, for years, routinely inflated property values—something her investigators have deemed a scheme to dodge taxes and defraud banks. In February, the judge ordered Trump and two of … [Read more...] about Trump Must Pay $10K a Day for Refusing to Turn Over Evidence
Trump’s Campaign Rally For Cheney Opponent Will Feature Video With McCarthy, Stefanik And Jordan
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally for Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney’s primary opponent, Harriet Hageman, will feature video appearances from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik and House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan. The rally will be held Saturday in Casper, Wyoming, according to a Thursday statement announcing its lineup. Cheney has continued to face criticism for voting in favor of impeaching Trump. The Wyoming Republican Party censured her in February 2021 over her impeachment vote. Cheney was removed from her leadership position by a voice vote in May 2021. Since impeachment, Cheney has continued to be vocal about her disdain of the former president. “This Save America rally is a continuation of President Trump’s unprecedented effort to advance the MAGA agenda by energizing voters and highlighting America First candidates and causes,” a statement about the rally sent by Trump’s PAC reads. … [Read more...] about Trump’s Campaign Rally For Cheney Opponent Will Feature Video With McCarthy, Stefanik And Jordan

Former President Donald Trump will have to testify under oath as part of the New York Attorney General's Office's investigation of his business practices after a state appellate court ruled against him Thursday. The ruling by a panel of four judges upheld a decision by New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron, who said in February that Trump and two of his children had to comply with subpoenas calling for them to sit for depositions. Engoron had recently ordered that Trump was in contempt for failing to turn over documents. Trump had argued that they could not be forced to testify because their responses could be used against them in a criminal probe and that violated his constitutional rights . NRA stages marketing event as Texas mourns school shooting
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 5 HOUSTON (AP) — The National Rifle Association begins its annual convention in Houston on Friday, and leaders of the powerful gun-rights lobbying group are gearing up to “reflect on” -- and deflect any blame for -- the deadly shooting earlier this week of 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Former President Donald Trump and other leading Republicans are scheduled to address the three-day firearms industry marketing event, which is expected to draw protesters fed up with gun violence. Some scheduled speakers and performers have backed out, including two Texas lawmakers and “American Pie” singer Don McLean, who said “it would be disrespectful” to go ahead with his act in the aftermath of the country’s latest mass shooting. While President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress have renewed calls for stricter gun laws, NRA board member Phil … [Read more...] about NRA stages marketing event as Texas mourns school shooting
Decade since NC governor win, McCrory trounced in Senate bid
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 2 RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A decade ago, Pat McCrory was king in North Carolina's Republican Party. The former Charlotte mayor became the first GOP governor in two decades when he won in 2012 by 11 percentage points. Today, the moderate has been tossed aside in state GOP politics, trounced by 34 percentage points in last week’s Senate primary by Rep. Ted Budd, who was a little-known congressman outside his district until former President Donald Trump endorsed him last June. The Trump shift within the Republican Party is making casualties nationally out of fiscal conservatives like McCrory, who says he supported many Trump policies but did not care for his style — a nuanced view that apparently did not help him in a state the former president won twice. Now McCrory’s long electoral career appears over at age 65. “I’ve played the game. I’ve been played by the game. I’ve won the game. But I’ve … [Read more...] about Decade since NC governor win, McCrory trounced in Senate bid

The event is going forward even though it is taking place just three days after — and less than 300 miles from — Uvalde, Texas, where a school shooting Monday killed at least 19 children and two adults. It was the deadliest and at least the tenth mass shooting and the 27th school shooting in the U.S. this year alone — including one in Houston just two weeks ago, in which two men were killed and three critically wounded. NEW You can now listen to Fox News articles! The closely watched primary election season continued Tuesday with contests in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, and Texas. And per usual, the biased and out of touch mainstream media is failing to focus on some very important news due to their unhealthy fixation on former President Donald Trump. In the GOP primary election for governor, more than 1.2 million Georgians went to the polls , nearly doubling 2018’s primary turnout of 607,000.
