President-elect Joe Biden excoriated President Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed Capitol Hill as “domestic terrorists” on Thursday. “They weren’t protesters — don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists,” Biden said sternly in a speech Thursday. The president-elect angrily excoriated Trump and his supporters for enabling the violence in the Capitol, during an event in Wilmington, Delaware, to introduce his nominations for the Justice Department. “I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming, but that isn’t true … the past four years we’ve had a president who’s made his contempt for our democracy our constitution the rule of law clear in everything he has done,” he said. GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA) — Residents of a Granada Hills neighborhood fear for their safety and property values after what looks to be a junkyard has taken over one home’s yard. Neighbors have been trying to get the city to force the owner to clean it up for nearly three years, but to no avail. Woman Shot During Brazen Daylight Robbery At Beverly Hills Restaurant
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA) — A woman was shot Thursday afternoon during an armed robbery attempt at an upscale restaurant in Beverly Hills. March 4, 2021. (RMG News) The shooting was reported just after 2 p.m. at the Il Pastaio restaurant at Brighton Way and North Canon Drive. CBSLA learned the robbery target was the co-owner of jewelry store TZURI. Two shots were fired, one of which struck a nearby woman in the leg. “All I heard was them getting loud,” said Drew Hancock, the shooting victim’s boyfriend. “I looked up and saw the fight when they pushed the guy into the barrier.” He tried to shield his girlfriend while rushing inside. “As we were going through there were three more shots,” said Hancock. “On the way inside, my girlfriend was hit by a ricochet in the calf.” (RMG News) According to Beverly Hills police, three male suspects in masks demanded property from a 40-year-old man sitting on the patio.
