Michael Heseltine is the establishment’s oldest hitman, a liberal infiltrator and a traitor to the conservative movement. It’s time for conservatives to hit back hard. A quarter of a century ago Margaret Thatcher was betrayed by many of her closest allies and forced from office. Conservatism in Britain hasn’t recovered since, and it’s unlikely we will ever find another leader of her strength again. She is one of the greatest losses our nation has suffered in the entirety of its history, and had she remained in office I have no doubt she would have lead us out of the EU. Most people remember Geoffrey Howe’s resignation as being the knife in Lady Thatcher’s back, but not as many remember Michael Heseltine lurking in the background. Lord Heseltine had already come close to bringing Lady Thatcher down over the 1986 Westland scandal in which he had tried to force the government’s hand to buy from European rather than American companies, and publicly accused Lady Thatcher of … [Read more...] about Why I Fired Heseltine — And Why Conservatives Need To As Well

Former Team Prez Says Barry Bonds Slept in Clubhouse, ‘Complete Disaster’ During Year as Hitting Coach
Barry Bonds lasted only one year as a hitting coach, and it appears there’s an excellent reason for that: He was terrible at his job. During his weekly spot on the Dan LeBatard Show , former Miami Marlins President David Samson called Barry Bonds’ one-year sting as the Marlins hitting coach in 2016 a “complete disaster.” “He had fun as a hitting coach because he would hang out with [Giancarlo] Stanton and give Stanton some pointers,” Samson said according to 95.7 The Game . “But he was ineffective, completely. He would sleep in the clubhouse. He would not pay attention during games. He did not work hard. It was a complete disaster.” Problems with Bonds were not confined to the field. Samson says that Bonds was also a problem at the negotiating table. The former Marlins president says that Bonds used his leverage with the owner to insist on getting paid way above the league average for hitting coaches. “It was the worst interview I’ve ever been a part of,” Samson said. … [Read more...] about Former Team Prez Says Barry Bonds Slept in Clubhouse, ‘Complete Disaster’ During Year as Hitting Coach
Jim Jordan: Republicans Consistently Condemn Violence While Democrats Pay Bail for Rioters and Looters
Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), during a committee markup Tuesday, ripped Democrats for “raising bail for the rioters and looters” while Republicans have consistently condemned any type of violence. During the markups in the committee room Tuesday, Republican members tried to put forth an amendment aimed to prevent police agencies from being defunded by local governments by withholding grant money from the municipalities that do so. Democrat committee members tried to belittle the amendment. Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) said he is against the amendment. Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) tried to accuse Republicans of only supporting the police when it is politically convenient. Demings said, “Police officers deserve your support. You know it’s interesting to see my colleagues on the side of the aisle when it’s politically convenient to do so.” She added, “Officers risk their lives every day. They deserve better, and the American people deserve … [Read more...] about Jim Jordan: Republicans Consistently Condemn Violence While Democrats Pay Bail for Rioters and Looters
Black Lives Matter UK Vows to Continue Fighting ‘White Supremacy’ After George Floyd Trial
The official Black Lives Matter UK organisation said that they will continue to fight against “white supremacy” and campaign to “defund the police”, following Derek Chauvin being found guilty for the murder of George Floyd in the United States. The far-left activist group, which saw a resurgence in activity in Britain after Floyd’s death, said after the verdict was announced that they were “thinking of Black people across the globe who live knowing this verdict will not prevent future abuses of police violence and police killings.” “We know justice won’t come through the courts or through a government that is founded by and functions to maintain white supremacy,” UKBLM wrote . The leftist organisation said that they will continue with their “actions” in seeking “our own liberation to end this racist violence.” “Defund the police and dismantle white supremacy!” the British BLM branch declared. Another prominent BLM-style activist group All Black Lives UK joined in on the … [Read more...] about Black Lives Matter UK Vows to Continue Fighting ‘White Supremacy’ After George Floyd Trial
Big Tech set to defend app stores in antitrust hearing
Apple and Google’s market power over digital app stores will be in the hot seat Wednesday at the Senate Judiciary antitrust subcommittee’s hearing on app store fairness. The Silicon Valley giants have come under fire over their app stores’ policies, especially over the 15 to 30 percent fees they collect from app developers. Without alternatives to the Google and Apple stores on the companies’ products, developers are largely reliant on the systems they’re critical of to reach consumers. As Congress continues to weigh the market power of the companies, their controversial app store policies have prompted proposed state legislation to allow apps to circumvent the fees, as well as a key court case between Epic Games and Apple that is set to go to trial next month. ADVERTISEMENT “The abusive practices in the App Store are blatantly anti-competitive,” Mark Cooper, director of research at the Consumer Federation of America, told The Hill. “The platform operators and … [Read more...] about Big Tech set to defend app stores in antitrust hearing
