On eve of 125th birthday, S.F.’s Anchor Brewing is changing its vintage beer labels
In August, Tom Riley — who started at Anchor 36 years ago, initially working on the packaging line — took over as brewmaster from predecessor Scott Ungermann. In March, Anchor will add three new beers created by Volek to its permanent lineup: a tropical hazy IPA, a pilsner and a 100-calorie, gluten-reduced, mango-flavored golden ale called Little Weekend.
