Vasquez, 15 N.J. 342, 346 (N.J. 1954), “Independent of statue or rule of court, the Court of Chancery has inherent power to order a sale of mortgage premises and to control its process directed to that end, and this inherent power of the court has never been doubted.” The exercise of the Court’s equitable powers to overturn a foreclosure “is discretionary and must be based on considerations of equity and justice” First Trust Nat’l Ass’n v. ATLANTIC CITY — DraftKings is seeking casino partners in New Jersey to offer sports betting if the U.S. Supreme Court legalizes it.The leading fantasy sports company has contacted potential casino partners with an eye to offering sports betting in New Jersey.The Supreme Court is considering the state's challenge to a law limiting sports betting to just four states. A ruling could come as early as next week.The company, with 10 million customers, has a well-known infrastructure to quickly take advantage of a favorable sports betting ruling. The firm says it has no announcements at this time regarding any deal with a casino and didn't mention plans for other states.Company spokesman James Chisholm said Draft Kings "is perfectly positioned to succeed in a legal sports betting market."DraftKings is one of many companies expected to move quickly to take advantage of sports betting, should it become legal. Brooklyn-born rapper Fabolous was arrested in New Jersey following an alleged domestic violence incident earlier in the day, police said. The hip hop artist, whose real name John David Jackson, turned himself in to Englewood authorities at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and was hit with a pair of criminal charges: third-degree aggravated assault and third-degree terroristic threats. Police did not reveal the identity of the victim of the alleged incident, but TMZ reports the arrest occurred after Fabolous assaulted reality star Emily B, his longtime on-and-off girlfriend. Celebrity mug shots Fabolous, 40, did not spend any time behind bars Wednesday and will appear in court on a later date, police said.
