BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old man in Baltimore’s Upton neighborhood on Saturday, according to authorities. Someone shot the man in the 1500 block of Argyle Avenue around 3:25 p.m., police said. A cyclist died early Wednesday after a collision with a vehicle at Octavia and Oak streets in San Francisco, police said. Police described the male victim as a cyclist, and representatives of Recology said one of its collection trucks was involved in a crash with a man on a motorized unicycle. A police spokesperson said Wednesday afternoon that the department would only disclose that a cyclist collided with a commercial vehicle and would not identify the type of vehicles involved. Officers sent to the scene of a traffic collision at about 4 a.m. found an injured male cyclist, according to the Police Department. They summoned paramedics and administered aid, but the cyclist died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle in the collision remained on the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said. Jennifer Geiger, 44, of Clearwater was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Pinellas County Jail after being charged with exploitation of an elderly or disabled person. According to Clearwater police, Geiger was the property manager at the condominium complex in Largo where a man in his 90s who has dementia owned two units. Shortly before 12:15 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the 5600 bock of Gilgunn Way for a report of a man threatening to kill his wife who was also on scene. "After much consideration, I regret to inform those who voted for me that I have decided to step down as a member of the city council," Arredondo told the Uvalde Leader-News.
