US Further Punishes Russia for Cyberattacks, Election Meddling
WHITE HOUSE - The United States is taking action to punish Russia for various "harmful foreign activities," including cyberattacks, election meddling and aggression in the Crimea region. Thirty-two entities and individuals linked to Moscow are being sanctioned for disinformation efforts and interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Ten personnel from Russia's diplomatic mission in Washington were expelled, including "representatives of Russian intelligence services," according to the White House. The Biden administration is formally blaming the SVR, the external intelligence agency of Russia, for the massive cybersecurity breach discovered last year involving SolarWinds, a Texas-based software management company that allowed access to the systems of thousands of companies and multiple federal agencies. Southern California’s favorite Cuban bakery is getting ready to open at the former Sears Auto Center at the Northridge Fashion Center. Mother-Daughter Team Win Decade-Long Battle To Bring Sidewalks To San Bernardino County Community Of Muscoy
MUSCOY (CBSLA) — After a nearly decade-long battle, the Inland Empire community of Muscoy will finally get sidewalks. (credit: CBS) The California Transportation Commission awarded a $1.9 million grant to Vermont Elementary School for the sidewalks project, and San Bernardino will match that money, to construct sidewalks in an area where children headed to school had to either walk on scrubby dirt curbs or on roads alongside speeding cars.
