The Communist Party of China published its annual report listing alleged human rights grievances in the United States on Wednesday, listing robust and free political debate and America’s federalist system – which allows states to determine much of their own destinies independent of Washington – as human rights atrocities. The report opened with “I can’t breathe,” reportedly the last words of late Minnesota man George Floyd, whose death sparked nationwide riots in summer 2020. China’s State Council Information Office, the formal propaganda arm of the Communist Party leadership, publishes a similar report every year, typically in response to the U.S. State Department’s annual global human rights report. Past reports have listed American comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s television show as a human rights violation against the American people. This year, state newspaper Global Times explained , the office chose to publish its report without waiting for the State Department’s … [Read more...] about China Quotes George Floyd in ‘Human Rights’ Report Declaring Federalism an Atrocity
President Joe Biden’s niece directed Coca-Cola’s government relations department while the brand lobbied against a bill that would hinder the United States’ multinational corporations from doing business with Communist China which maintains slave labor camps. Missy Owens no longer works for the company, leaving in November of 2020 before Coca-Cola partnered with Nike in additional opposition against the “Uighur Forced Labor Prevention Act” that seeks to ban “all imports from Xinjiang unless a company can clearly prove that the products were not made by slaves,” Breitbart’s Frances Martel reported on the bill. As the director, Owens was not “directly involved” in lobbying against the bill. However, “A different lobbying group, Sidley Austin LLP, was reported as lobbying for the company against the bill from the beginning of last year to the end of March 2020. The company’s employees gave the Biden campaign over $450,000 during the 2020 cycle,” Coca-Cola told Fox News . … [Read more...] about Biden’s Niece Worked in Coca-Cola Government Relations While Brand Lobbied Against a Uyghur Slave Labor Camp Bill
A coalition of 70 Uyghur organizations called on the United Nations on Wednesday not to vote in favor of China’s membership to the U.N. Human Rights Council, given its extensive record of human rights atrocities in general and its maintenance of over 1,000 concentration camps for Uyghur people in particular. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has submitted its intention to run in the 2020 Human Rights Council elections, scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Beijing has held a position on the Council four times and is competing with other human rights violators for the seat. The Council is divided into five regions, so China only has to compete with other states in the Asia-Pacific region for the post. Five countries are competing for four open seats: China, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan. Human Rights Council terms last three years. If elected, China will join some of the world’s most repressive states on the Council, including Libya, Eritrea, and Venezuela. Cuba … [Read more...] about Uyghurs Launch Campaign to Keep China Off of U.N. Human Rights Council
Chinese state-run media celebrated the performance of senior diplomats Wang Yi and Yang Jiechi on Thursday in which they berated American counterparts, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, on America’s alleged human rights abuses. The Global Times and China Daily , two of the Communist Party’s loudest English-language mouthpieces, applauded the two Chinese officials for being “firm,” expressing “sincerity,” and offering “vigorous counterblows” to the Americans’ condemning China for its elimination of human rights safeguards in Hong Kong, its genocide of the Uyghur people in Xinjiang, and other human rights atrocities. The four diplomats met in Anchorage, Alaska, on Thursday, chosen as a halfway point between Washington and Beijing. The Chinese state outlets — and the Foreign Ministry — complained that Alaska was inhospitable, “biting,” and unpleasant for the diplomats to visit. Wang and Yang personally accused the United States of … [Read more...] about China Celebrates Humiliating Biden Diplomats at Alaska Meeting
China’s U.N. representative in New York read a statement Monday condemning the United States for “systemic racial discrimination” and “deep-rooted racial discrimination, police brutality, and social inequality” in the country. China currently runs over 1,000 concentration camps for racial and ethnic minorities where — due exclusively to their ethnicity, religion, or other immutable parts of their identity — survivors say they face communist indoctrination, rape, torture, slavery, and screening for black market organ harvesting. Following its condemnation of America for alleged racism, China led a group of allies in the committee Tuesday applauding its concentration camps. Representative Zhang Jun made his remarks during a meeting of the Third Committee, tasked with economic and social rights, of the U.N. General Assembly, according to China’s state-run Global Times propaganda newspaper. The newspaper asserted that 26 countries co-signed Zhang’s statement against America … [Read more...] about China, North Korea, Cuba, Iran Denounce U.S. for ‘Systematic Racial Discrimination’ at U.N.
