By Letters To The Editor | August 9, 2018 at 7:51 am City Lights’ ‘In the Heights’ is especially relevant now Congratulations to the City Lights team for an outstanding performance of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In The Heights.” Filled with energy and memorable songs, lyrics and music it’s a must see. In this political climate, the story needs to be heard because it emphasizes the importance of family in the Latinx community. The family maintains an infectious inner optimism throughout all their ups and downs. As I watched them struggle and succeed, I felt like a part of their family.
