If you’re looking for a Colorado team to hoist a championship trophy this year, the choices are clear. With the Rockies expected to be in the cellar, and the Broncos wandering the desert, it’s the Avalanche, Nuggets or bust. The Avalanche (13-8) stand third in the West heading into their outdoor game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday at Lake Tahoe. Only their Lake Tahoe opponent, the Golden Knights, can match the 6-to-1 odds. The Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins are both currently listed at +700. In this week’s edition of Pick 6, we needed to throw Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic into the mix as a potential MVP award winner. Will the oddsmakers hold being in Denver against him?
