Broncos Training Camp: Fans guide to attending practices
Questions and answers for fans interested in attending Broncos training camp. Which practices are open to the public? The Broncos will open 13 training camp practices (all from 9:30 a.m.-noon) at their facility in Dove Valley: July 28, 29, 30 and 31 and Aug. 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 14 and 15. The final practice will be a joint workout with the Chicago Bears. How much is admission and parking? Both are free, but arrive early. The parking lot to the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse – 1343 Broncos Parkway in Dove Valley – will open at 7 a.m. each day. The gates to the general seating area will open at 8 a.m. Seating is on the grass berm that runs north to south along the practice fields. Can fans bring cameras to practice? Yes, but fans are not allowed to use the video-recording feature of their cameras, phones or tablets. Will fans be able to get autographs? Yes. That means wall-to-wall coverage of the battle of back-up tight end, red-hot quarterback controversies (real or imagined) and in-depth analysis of pulled groins and ankle sprains. I get it. I used to be a Broncos beat writer. I used to feed that beast. I understand the Rocky Mountain region’s infatuation with the National Football League. Why, by the way, do NFL coaches always say “National Football League,” instead of simply NFL? But I digress.
