SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento restaurants hit hard by the pandemic and hopeful for recovery are looking to score big on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s typically one of the busier days of the year, with many people either hitting a bar or a house party. This year is obviously different, but some businesses still have goals of their own for the big game. “You make extra everything and you make three five-gallon buckets of ranch,” Vanessa Garcia, owner of Luigi’s Pizza Parlor, said. The restaurant is filled with stacks of empty boxes, ready for pizza. Garcia said alongside her staff, they’re prepared whatever the day throws at them. “It’s our busiest day of the year, hands down,” Garcia said. Andrew Cuomo has taken the first steps to restore the cultural life of New York City, ordering up hundreds of COVID-safe pop-up concerts featuring a raft of big-name stars that will also be streamed on video.
