Britney Spears Will Bring Vegas Residency Piece of Me to South Florida This Summer

Were you crushed that you never took a drunken girls' trip to see Britney Spears' show in Las Vegas before it ended? Britney knows. After wrapping up her landscape-shifting Piece of Me residency at Planet Hollywood after four years this past New Year's Eve, Spears has just announced she'll take the production on tour in the States and Europe this year, including three shows at the Hard Rock Event Center in Hollywood.Spears made her last concert stop in South Florida in 2011 on her Femme Fatale Tour. Since then, Spears has been a guest judge on The X Factor, providing the internet with a litany of iconic reaction GIFs during her tenure, and released two albums, Britney Jean and her latest, Glory.Since Spears began her Vegas residency in 2013, a rite of passage that used to be relegated to the end stages of artists' careers, the Backstreet Boys, Bruno Mars, and most recently Lady Gaga have all announced residencies on the Strip.Though Spears' career has been plagued by rampant evidence of lip-syncing, Piece of Me was wildly successful because of its elaborate production and dedicated millennial fan base. The year 2018 is looking to be just as lucrative for Spears, as she takes Piece of Me on the road and prepares for the release of her upcoming tenth studio album. Mario Lopez had one-night stand with Britney Spears: report

Did Mario Lopez have a one-night stand with Britney Spears? The “Extra” host claims in his new memoir “Just Between Us” that he had a one-night stand with a “mega pop star.” While Lopez has been coy about revealing the celeb’s identity, Us Weekly reports that it with the “I’m a Slave 4 U” singer. During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier this month, the former “Saved by the Bell” star revealed that he and the mystery woman had a fling in Las Vegas. He added that their one-night stand occurred “maybe six (or) seven years ago,” and that the two were still on “friendly” terms today. But he wouldn’t tell the talk show host who the celeb was out of respect for his wife, Courtney Mazza, whom he married in 2012. "She’s totally cool and she knows everything," he said. "But out of respect for her and out of respect for this person… you know, I’m a gentleman and I don’t like to drop names, so I don't want to go there.” Even though Lopez wanted to keep her identity a secret, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that he had a tryst with Spears. If his one-night stand was with Spears, then he does seem to have stayed friendly with the pop star. He memorably joined her on stage last year for the opening night of her Las Vegas residency, “Britney Spears: Piece of Me.” ON A MOBILE DEVICE? CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO. Continue Reading

Britney Spears has issues with small stage size for her Las Vegas shows at Planet Hollywood

Earlier this month Britney Spears announced her much-hyped Las Vegas residency with a drama-filled late-night chopper landing in the middle of the desert, but that may be as big as the actual show gets, a Spears source tells [email protected] Spears starts her two-year stay for “Britney Spears: Piece of Me,” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27, and will (hopefully) complete 48 concerts per year for a $15 million payday. But the “Toxic” singer is already having issues with the venue, specifically the stage’s size and shape. She says it’s too small for her and is demanding to know where the pyrotechnics will be, our source says. Victor Chavez/WireImage Rumors are still swirling that Spears will lip-sync her songs during her Las Vegas residency. The singer, who’s used to selling out arenas, has been assigned to perform in the old “Peepshow” quarters, once home to Holly Madison and rapper Ice-T’s wife, Coco Austin. But the same tiny stage is reportedly still in place and is clearly meant for a much smaller production. “When Celine Dion came to Vegas, they built her the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and that was a production just for her,” says our source. “When Britney was announced, they barely touched the stage. She’ll be on the same stage as Holly was with a pole. Producers think Britney can make do with two balloons and a feather boa.” Our source adds that Spears is especially disappointed with the lack of theatrics, mostly because she’s worried that the simple set will draw attention to any possible lip-synching. Spears’ spokesperson has denied she’ll just be moving her pretty lips and says she’s been in vocal training for months. “There is a new set, but they have not gone all out,” says our tipster, who has been in touch with Spears this week. “It’s like Britney unplugged, and Britney Continue Reading

Britney Spears announces plans to extend Las Vegas residency following on-stage fall

Britney Spears said "the show must go on" after taking a spill on-stage in Las Vegas last week. In fact, the pop star appeared on "Ellen" Tuesday to announce she's extending her Sin City residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino "for three more months." "I just think you should give our entire audience tickets," she told the daytime talk show host while wearing a black supportive boot with her black mini-dress. "I tore some ligaments," she explained. Spears hurt herself during one of her sold out Las Vegas "Piece of Me" performances on Wednesday when she fell on stage. "I actually wasn't doing anything that hard. I was just kind of bopping around," the "Crazy" singer recalled. The outcome of the fall wasn't Spears' biggest concern. It was the fact that she hasn't taken a tumble like that during any of her Vegas performances since the beginning of her residency. "I've done like eight years worth of shows. Plenty of shows and I've never actually fell on stage so it was really kind of embarrassing," she confessed. She first showed off the medical boot on Instagram Friday, two days after the on-stage fall. "This boot was made for walkin'," she playfully captioned the pic. Despite the injury, Spears' Vegas residency, a 113-performance deal that began on Dec. 27, 2013 and was originally slated to conclude in September, has been extremely successful and has already garnered the pop star some awards. "So you won these awards, which are really cool," DeGeneres said. "You won best show in Vegas, best bachelorette party in Vegas, so people come to your show and you must see wild things." "A lot of wild things," Spears replied before providing an example. "Tattoos of my face on people's arms, which is really kind of crazy." ON A MOBILE DEVICE? WATCH THE VIDEO HERE. Continue Reading
