Beyoncé’s plotting a big-release takedown of rivals Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus

Beyoncé isn’t going to let anyone steal her thunder. With Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus all behind much-hyped fall releases, Bey is planning to step up and knock them all out of the spotlight with new top-secret music she recorded a few weeks ago. Beyoncé decided to wait until early December so her single will come out right after Gaga, Katy and Miley release their albums. It’s all because she wants everyone to know exactly who the queen is, a source tells [email protected] Bey had planned to put out a big song in early 2013, but kept pushing it back when she realized she wasn’t going to have any real competition on the charts. Then she got wind of the jam-packed fall release calendar and dreamed up her pop-world power move. Lady Gaga's third album, 'Artpop,' will be released on Nov. 8. “Many in the music industry have gotten intel that Beyoncé will put out a single in the fourth quarter, some time from late November to early December,” our insider says. “It’s an official single and it’s timed perfectly to push out all the others. It will be out before the end of the year.” Our source adds that Ole Music Publishing in Nashville is working its magic and will hand the “massive” song over to Columbia Records — Bey’s label. Pepsi bankrolled the whole project. Another source tells us that Beyoncé has gone to great lengths to hide what she’s been up to in the studio. That’s been very tough, given her status. She played the music only minimally while filming the song’s video, directed by celeb photographer Terry Richardson in Coney Island in August. Insiders tell us the track and video will land on Dec. 3. Don Arnold/WireImage 'Prism,' Katy Perry's fourth album, will be released on Oct. 18. “There is a noticeable hole in Columbia Records’ Q4 release schedule and it’s going to be Continue Reading

Britney Spears: Sugar is ‘Toxic’

Britney Spears has given her beloved Starbucks Frappuccinos  - and sugar  - the boot in order to get her figure back. "I'm the healthiest I've been all my life," the pop star told OK! magazine. The 26-year-old mother of two turned heads in early August after debuting a trim 'n' toned figure and new blond hair extensions during a shopping excursion with a pal. Spears also showed off her slim physique while hanging out with friends in late July next to a pool in Mexico. She credits her diet for getting her body back into enviable shape. "I have no sugar. I don¹t eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar," she said. "I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I¹ll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day. It may sound like it's not much, but it's actually a lot of food if you eat the right things." And she's hitting the gym - often. The "Gimme More" singer works out five days a week, doing "a lot of cardio and weights." The goal, she says, is to get "cut." Spears' new figure is an outward sign of her recovery following a very rocky year. The Grammy Award winner was hospitalized several times for a mental illness and lost custody of her sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline.  She's also working on a new album, reportedly due to hit shelves in mid-December. Britney Spears’ ‘Circus’ tour gets another ring

Britney Spears' dating life - like her tour - has turned into one giant "Circus." Last month, we reported that the pop star was bumping and grinding with a tour backup dancer named Geo while her daddy was taking care of business in L.A. Reports then surfaced that Brit is making sweet music with yet another backup dancer, 21-year-old Chase Benz. Now a whole 'nother case of crazy is coming out: An employee of land developer John Sundahl is claiming Brit and Sundahl are going to tie the knot! According to The National Enquirer, Sundahl, a 40-year-old real estate whiz kid, met the pop princess in rehab in 2007 during Britney's bald days - and has held a torch for her ever since. The multimillionaire's personal pilot, who referred to himself as "Lance Chase," told us: "Britney and John used to date, but they reconnected after her show in New Jersey, and now they're engaged. He got down on one knee in a Subway sandwich shop in Santa Monica a week ago and proposed with a $4.5 million marquise-cut diamond that he bought at a Frankfurt jewelry store." Chase continued crazily, "They plan on getting married at his aunt's farm in Germany in six weeks. It's very hush-hush, even to the employees. He's even putting a $350K fence around the property." We caught up with Sundahl - who's so wealthy that he's currently staying at his parents' house in Woodland Hills, Calif. - and got his side of the "story." "I don't want to talk about that," he said, before changing his tune and spilling some details about his "relationship" with the singer. "Britney doesn't want to do anything until the tour is over. She wants press for her tour and not for an engagement," he dished subtly. A representative for Spears said: "Britney is not engaged, she did not get proposed to at Subway last week - she is currently on tour - she is not getting married on a farm in Germany, she did not receive a $4.5 million marquise-cut diamond ring. Oh, and she has not been Continue Reading

Britney Spears’ mess great tidings for attorneys

Britney Spears' legal gravy train rolled along Thursday, with the court handing out $372,500 in paychecks to the lawyers involved in her conservatorship and custody battle. And that doesn't even include the $10,000 a week that her court-appointed lawyer is pulling down for his work. Under previously reported terms, Spears' dad, Jamie Spears, gets a $2,500 weekly stipend for expenses while she receives $1,500 a week in "driving around money," as one court spokesman phrased it. Britney Spears' conservatorship was created when the pop star was placed under psychiatric hold at UCLA Medical Center. It runs until July 31. Despite a freeway fender-bender last weekend, Britney Spears appears to be responding well, returning to regular visits with her two young sons, hitting the treadmills at Bally's gym and working again with former manager Larry Rudolph.   Join the Conversation: Continue Reading

Britney Spears just celebrated her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower, but could there be a baby shower in the works for Britney? 6 months after near self-destruct, Britney Spears is all about music & kids

Six months ago she was forcibly strapped to a stretcher and placed on psychiatric hold in two different hospitals. A judge cut off all contact with her two toddler sons. Her "Blackout" album failed to go platinum as a deafening papaparazzi circus took the place of actual promotion. It seemed like an irreversible slide destined to end in tragedy. That was then. Six months later, a feisty and focused Britney Spears is putting her life back together. "She's the best I've seen her in three years," a well-placed source in Britney's camp told the Daily News. "She has her kids back now and she's working on a new album. Hopefully it will be out by the end of the year." Britney, 26, isn't stopping with music. She's reading TV treatments and looking to executive produce a show in the same vein as Ashton Kutcher or Randy Jackson, the source said. "It has to be organic to her, maybe something related to music or fashion," the source said. As for acting, she's shopping for a supporting role in a romantic comedy to follow up her well-received cameo on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," the source said. She also stepped in front of the camera last week when she taped a video short for the stage show of Madonna's upcoming "Sticky & Sweet" tour. "These are baby steps. She's taking every opportunity to see her kids, and the last thing she'll do is tour for three months or take the lead in a feature and be away from them again," the source said. "Maybe she'll go out on tour after the new year, but something short." Last month a judge reinstated Britney's overnight visits with Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2, after she patched things up with divorce lawyer Laura Wasser and made a "businesslike" court appearance opposite ex-husband Kevin Federline. "The overnight visits are great positive reinforcement for her. She almost has the equivalent of one-third custody back, and being able to care for them is enormously helpful to her progress," another Continue Reading
