READ MORE: Legalizing Marijuana In Pennsylvania Gets First Republican Sponsor Brandon Dasilva of the Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community Church was arrested Monday after the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and federal agents executed a search warrant at his house in Lancaster County. That led to an IP address the AG’s office says is registered to Dasilva’s home. A search of his electronic devices allegedly uncovered “a number” of child pornography images. Current Mexican Border State Governor Faces Organized Crime Probe
Federal prosecutors in Mexico are targeting a border state governor in an organized crime investigation and are asking that nation’s legislature to strip his criminal immunity protections. Prosecutors also say they are reviewing money laundering and tax fraud allegations. Federal prosecutors in a money-laundering task force from Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) filed a request with congressional leaders for hearings to remove criminal immunity and target Tamaulipas Governor Francisco Javier Cabeza de Vaca in connection with an investigation into organized criminal activity, money laundering, and tax fraud. The matter became public after Moises Ignacio Mier Velazco, a congressional leader with the MORENA Party, tweeted the document. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 25. For decades, Democrats have lived in terror of the American public’s (reputed) allergy to taxation. In 2016, the party’s presidential nominee was so afraid of antagonizing her nation’s IRS-averse electorate, she promised not to raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000 a year — a pledge that spared all but the top 2 percent of individual earners from the specter of slightly higher tax rates. Four years later, the Democratic standard-bearer decided that Hillary Clinton’s mercy was insufficiently broad, and vowed to exempt “middle class” Americans at the bottom of the top 1 percent from any and all tax hikes (despite the fact that Donald Trump had lowered rates in the interim). Kevan Miller Will Miss Some Time And Other Bruins Injury News
BOSTON (CBS) — Bruce Cassidy is the head coach of the Boston Bruins, but he sounded more like a doctor on Wednesday. Cassidy provided a laundry list of injury updates during his Wednesday morning Zoom session, a mixed bag of news for the Bruins. We’ll start with the bad news, which doesn’t even include the fact that defenseman Jeremy Lauzon is out for at least the next month with a fractured hand. He isn’t the only blue liner set to miss time, with Kevan Miller dealing with some lingering soreness to his surgically repaired knee.
