BOSTON (AP) — A monument honoring a famed Civil War unit of Black soldiers is returning to downtown Boston, following a $3 million restoration . The bronze relief at the center the Robert Gould Shaw and Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial is expected to be hoisted back into place Wednesday on the Boston Common across from the Statehouse with the help of a crane. Crews have also been onsite working to restore the monument’s marble and stone foundation. Officials say the project is on track to be substantially complete sometime next month. BOSTON (CBS) – Boston may be transitioning away from the mass COVID vaccination site at Fenway Park. Opening day for the Red Sox is April 1 and a limited number of fans will be allowed at games with a capacity restriction of 12-percent. BOSTON (CBS) – It’s not quite the same as coming to see the hometown team, as the Fenway Park concourse has now been turned into the state’s second mass vaccination site. “Fenway has an amazing emotional impact on the region and the community,” said Red Sox Vice President Sarah McKenna.
