Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), running for the United States Senate, says “Joe Biden’s America” includes stimulus checks for illegal aliens as American veterans struggle to get their benefits. As Breitbart News has reported , Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and state Democrats have struck a budget deal that includes $2.1 billion in taxpayer funding to provide unemployment benefits and stimulus checks to nearly 300,000 illegal aliens. Illegal aliens who will be eligible for the one-time payment could receive up to $15,600, the equivalent of about $300 a week for one year. Brooks wrote in a statement online this week that the plan embodies “Joe Biden’s America,” while American Veterans are reportedly struggling to access their earned benefits due to a records backlog. “U.S. military veterans are struggling to get the benefits they earned serving our country, but New York is sending $15K checks to illegal aliens,” Brooks wrote. “It’s shameful, but not surprising in Joe Biden’s America.” US … [Read more...] about Mo Brooks: Joe Biden’s America Gives Illegal Aliens Stimulus Checks While Veterans Struggle to Get Benefits

Grand jury indicts Muncie officers accused of covering up excessive force
A federal grand jury in Indiana on Wednesday issued a sweeping indictment for four Muncie police officers accused of using excessive force during arrests and subsequently attempting to cover up their actions. The Justice Department announced that the officers have been charged with 17 counts, superseding a March 2020 indictment against three officers related to the excessive force case. The indictment lists charges against officers Joseph Chase Winkle, Jeremy Gibson and Corey Posey and Sgt. Joseph Krejsa over their alleged roles in use-of-force incidents in Muncie, located about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis. ADVERTISEMENT The Justice Department said in its Wednesday press release that Winkle has been charged “with five counts of depriving five different arrestees of their rights to be free from excessive force, and six counts writing false reports about his uses of force against those arrestees, as well as two other arrestees.” The indictment said that … [Read more...] about Grand jury indicts Muncie officers accused of covering up excessive force
Moderate Republicans Accuse Biden of Trying to Pass His Agenda
Partisan and proud. Photo: Alex Wong/Getty Images Moderate Republicans are accusing Joe Biden of secretly plotting to enact the policies he campaigned on. In interviews with Politico Wednesday, staffers for the “G-10” — a group of ten Senate Republicans with an ostensible appetite for compromise — claimed that the president’s avowed interest in bipartisanship is insincere. In their account, Biden’s negotiations with the G-10 over infrastructure are a mere formality; his true intention is to make Republicans an offer they can’t accept, then use their refusal as a pretense for passing his $2.25 trillion plan through budget reconciliation. The staffers’ complaints are sufficiently colorful (and, if one leans left, schadenfreude-inspiring) to quote at length: It starts with what they see as some hardwired media narratives they can’t shake: that Biden is a reasonable, deal-making moderate and that Republicans talk about compromise but really just want to obstruct. It’s a … [Read more...] about Moderate Republicans Accuse Biden of Trying to Pass His Agenda
Minneapolis police offer critical testimony on Chauvin’s actions with Floyd
Testimony from Minneapolis police officers criticizing Derek Chauvin ’s actions in the arrest of George Floyd dominated the former officer’s murder trial on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. Sgt. Ker Yang, who is the force’s crisis training coordinator, and Lt. Johnny Mercil, head of the department’s use of force training, both took the stand during the court’s morning session, bringing the total number of Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) officers to testify as prosecution witnesses in Chauvin’s murder trial to six. That number rose to seven in the afternoon, when officer Nicole Mackenzie, MPD’s medical support coordinator, testified. ADVERTISEMENT All of the police witnesses, including police Chief Medaria Arradondo, have testified to the extensive continuing education program that MPD runs for its veteran officers. Officers said that Chauvin’s kneeling on Floyd’s neck for roughly nine minutes, which the prosecution says led to Floyd’s death, was not in line … [Read more...] about Minneapolis police offer critical testimony on Chauvin’s actions with Floyd

By Michael Hurley , CBS Boston BOSTON (CBS) — The Julian Edelman Hall of Fame debate has surely lit up the internet this week, as seemingly everybody has a strong opinion on whether the three-time Super Bowl champion is worthy of earning a bust in Canton. READ MORE: 'Many' Patriots Players Will Not Attend Voluntary OTAs It’s frankly gotten out of hand. People are losing their minds, largely as they argue with nobody. It’s wild. Why are they getting so mad? Anyways, The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin decided to actually interview some Hall of Fame voters to get a gauge on whether Edelman will actually be getting any votes once he is eligible for enshrinement in 2026. If they all said “no way,” then the debate and the arguing and the SCREAMING and the VIOLENT AND PHYSICAL THREATS could all go away forever. But surprisingly, not all of the interviewed voters pooh-poohed Edelman’s case. In fact, some voters are all in on the JE11 Express to Canton. Volin said that … [Read more...] about ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio Will Vote For Julian Edelman For Hall Of Fame
