Mariel Hemingway, the actress who portrayed Woody Allen’s 17-year-old love interest in his 1979 masterpiece Manhattan , is defending the multi-Oscar winner from the Woke Gestapo’s blacklist. In the film, the 12th greatest movie ever made, Allen plays Isaac Davis, a 42-year-old, divorced TV writer enjoying an adult relationship with Tracy (Hemingway) a 17-year-old still in high school. For you prudes who think it’s okay for minors to have abortions without parental consent and who think it’s perfectly acceptable to chemically castrate an eight-year-old boy under the delusion he’s a girl, the age of content in New York is 17. What’s more, the age of consent in about 20 other states is 16. Anyway, Manhattan is a moral film about a neurotic man who, under the smug belief he’s too sophisticated for a young woman, dumps her for a mature woman and then gets a serious taste of his own medicine. Small-minded prudes refuse to see this the truth of this and have now, without … [Read more...] about Nolte: Actress Who Played 17-Year-Old in ‘Manhattan’ Defends Woody Allen — ‘That Movie Probably Couldn’t Come Out Today’

A conservative sides with ‘Amtrak Joe’ on train travel
Back in the day, it felt as if I lived on airplanes, especially during my time at the Pentagon. Unfortunately, those collective hundreds of hours may have contributed to pressure-related issues in my ears. After experiencing hearing loss and severe balance issues, which led to multiple visits to specialists along the East Coast, it was determined that I should avoid flying to be on the safe side. That advice taken — especially after temporarily losing my hearing again by simply going up to the 60th floor of a New York City skyscraper — I have not boarded an airplane in 15 years. Because of that, those who knew I loved to travel thought I would be miserable. But it’s just the opposite. I rediscovered the joy, camaraderie and mental relaxation of train travel, here in the United States and across Europe. ADVERTISEMENT In the late 1980s when I worked in the White House, I took Amtrak often between Washington and New York City, a route that makes a stop in Wilmington, Del. … [Read more...] about A conservative sides with ‘Amtrak Joe’ on train travel

U.S. Bishops Decry Removal of Safeguards for Chemical Abortions
Leaders of the U.S. Bishops Conference (USCCB) have condemned a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decision to cease enforcing the “in-person dispensing requirement” for chemical abortion pills during the remainder of the coronavirus public health emergency. “It is difficult to see the FDA’s decision to not enforce important safety protocols as anything other than callous capitulation to the requests of abortion activists without regard for the health and safety of the women involved,” Kansas City Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann, chairman of the Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, said in a statement Friday. Public health officials put this requirement in place more than 20 years ago, under President Bill Clinton, Archbishop Naumann noted, “as a necessary precondition to ensure that pregnant women do not have contraindications that would make the abortion pills even more unsafe and possibly deadly for the woman.” Not only does the decision endanger the lives of countless … [Read more...] about U.S. Bishops Decry Removal of Safeguards for Chemical Abortions
Breitbart Sports: Masters Post-Mortem
Congratulations to Hideki Matsuyama for hanging tough and prevailing at the 2021 Masters. It was nice to see an athlete fulfill his life-long dream and not even crack a smile. He did not smile when he won. It was amazing. I think we’re all tired of the over-emoting, hysterical athlete. Give me more of the Hideki far-off -glazed-over-eyes look. There were no fist pumps, no dancing, no gyrating, and definitely no tears. If this is what the Japanese are like, then book me a ticket to Tokyo. That’s in Japan, right? The other competitors let him off the hook, though. Hideki’s one over par 73 shouldn’t have been good enough to win, but fair play to him- he did enough. Xander Schauffele made a charge with 4 consecutive birdies cutting the lead to 2 strokes on the 16th hole. He then promptly hit it in the water and triple bogey. From there on out, Hideki could coast home. He made a bogey on 16 and 18, which gave him a one-shot victory. All in all, it was a disappointing Sunday of golf … [Read more...] about Breitbart Sports: Masters Post-Mortem
