ROCKAWAY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Every day, a New Jersey woman travels to Newark to help people experiencing homelessness, but Tuesday, she took it a step further. She offered for them to spend a day out of the cold and take them to a place they could feel the warmth from the community. He overheard a conversation; Jenny DePaul was inviting people on a trip while doing outreach. “I said, ‘Would you mind if I go?’ She said, ‘Of course not, I would love to have you with us,'” Veal told CBS2’s Lisa Rozner. DePaul personally drove Veal and a few others from Newark to the Kindness Closet in Rockaway, started through her nonprofit Project Kind. At the closet, they could choose whatever they needed most. In a new Emerson College/WPIX-TV/NewsNation poll , 64 percent of New York voters said Cuomo should not be reelected to a fourth term in next year's election. In an alarming sign for Cuomo, only 52 percent of Democrats said he should get another term, while 48 percent said it’s time for someone new. Salvini, the League’s leader, has sent Nicola Molteni to take up the position of undersecretary to the current Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese on Monday, a position Molteni held when Salvini served as interior minister in the first government of former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. Molteni, who was supportive of Salvini’s anti-mass migration decrees, has promised to work with the current leftist minister for the interior in the new government led by former European Central Bank head Mario Draghi but has also called for a “change of course” as migrant numbers have risen, Il Giornale reports.
