Inside New York’s Most ‘Elite’ Sex Party
The secret location of Saturday night’s much-hyped Killing Kittens orgy is a nondescript loft in Manhattan’s Flatiron district. Young women and men secure their masks—no mask, no entry—and gulp down champagne while waiting in line to check their coats. “Is this the first time you’ve been to a party like this?” one man tentatively asks another female guest, who looks and talks like Bridget Jones. They are momentarily distracted by a voluptuous woman in fetish attire arching her back on all fours atop a nearby pool table. Behind her, the infamous party scene from Breakfast at Tiffany’s plays on a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Tickets cost $100 for “single” women, $250 for a couple. Bridget Jones’s doppelganger says it’s not her first time at a party like this. In fact, she recently attended another orgy known as “Torture Garden,” which, to my untrained ear, sounds like a Chinese restaurant at Guantanamo. Indeed, it is my first time at a party like this. Killing … [Read more...] about Inside New York’s Most ‘Elite’ Sex Party
The Ravens’ downfield passing game needs to improve. Could Marquise Brown’s departure actually help Lamar Jackson? | ANALYSIS
The opening was small, about as wide as a kid’s-size hula hoop, which meant the throws had to be perfect. But in the late-morning hours of the Ravens’ final mandatory-minicamp practice earlier this month, as quarterback after quarterback dropped back to pass, the target might as well have been a ring toss carnival game. From about 20 yards away, passes caromed off the target’s exterior, or landed short of the opening, or sailed over, or missed wide. Not until Lamar Jackson finally laced a throw into the net a few minutes into the drill did the thwang of a bull’s-eye ring out over the practice fields in Owings Mills. “Oh, my God, we were, like, four of 1,000 today,” Jackson joked afterward. “I was like, ‘What the hell are we doing?’” As Jackson and the Ravens continue their contract negotiations this summer , off-and-on talks that have invited the same kind of disbelieving commentary, there’s work to be done on the field, too. Jackson is coming off his worst year as a passer … [Read more...] about The Ravens’ downfield passing game needs to improve. Could Marquise Brown’s departure actually help Lamar Jackson? | ANALYSIS
Russian and Belarusian players barred from competing at Wimbledon tennis tournament
(CNN) Wimbledon organizers announced on Wednesday that Russian and Belarusian players will not be allowed to compete at this year's grand slam following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "Given the profile of The Championships in the United Kingdom and around the world, it is our responsibility to play our part in the widespread efforts of Government, industry, sporting and creative institutions to limit Russia's global influence through the strongest means possible," the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) said in a statement. "In the circumstances of such unjustified and unprecedented military aggression, it would be unacceptable for the Russian regime to derive any benefits from the involvement of Russian or Belarusian players with The Championships. "It is therefore our intention, with deep regret, to decline entries from Russian and Belarusian players to The Championships 2022," it added. The Kremlin said earlier on Wednesday that a ban on … [Read more...] about Russian and Belarusian players barred from competing at Wimbledon tennis tournament
Here Are The Remaining Supreme Court Cases This Term
(CNN) — Although the Supreme Court issued the two most important opinions of the term last week, upending near 50-year-old precedent on abortion and expanding gun rights for the first time in a decade, this blockbuster term is not over. Still to be decided are seven disputes. READ MORE: Maryland Weather: Muggy & Cloudy With Showers Later A look at what remains: Religious liberty: High school football coach who prayed after games The justices are grappling with the case of Joe Kennedy, a former Washington state high school football coach at a public school who lost his job for praying at the 50-yard line after games. The school district said it suspended Kennedy to avoid the appearance that the school was endorsing a particular faith, in violation of the Establishment Clause of the Constitution. Kennedy told CNN in an interview that “every American should be able to have faith in public and not be worried about being fired over it.” “I think it is important to … [Read more...] about Here Are The Remaining Supreme Court Cases This Term
SCHILLING: Roe’s Demise Is A Victory For The Family
Roe v. Wade is dead. It is difficult to overstate the momentousness of this occasion. Today’s Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization will go down in history as among the most significant events in modern American politics. For pro-lifers, it is an achievement long dreamed of, and yet one that few dared hope for until recently. After 49 years under the absurd legal regime of Roe and its progeny, Dobbs is a seismic change. It will, in the immediate term, likely preserve the lives of countless unborn children. It will save many women from the misery and abuse of coercive abortionists. It will also affect our politics in ways America’s leaders are only just beginning to grapple with. (RELATED: ANDERSON: Here’s Why We Should Be Protecting Pregnancy Centers From Extremists) Now that the barbarity of abortion can once again be legally restricted, if not outlawed entirely, who will do it? Supreme Court’s abortion ruling sets off new court fights
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 17 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade moved Monday to courtrooms around the country as anti-abortion advocates looked to quickly enact statewide bans and their opponents sought to buy more time. The high court's decision Friday to end constitutional protections for abortion opened the gates for a wave of legal battles from all sides. Many of the court cases will focus on “trigger laws,” adopted in 13 states in anticipation of the ruling and designed to take effect quickly. Lawsuits could also target old anti-abortion laws that went unenforced under Roe, and cases over abortion restrictions that were put on hold awaiting the Supreme Court ruling are also starting to come back into play. “We’ll be back in court tomorrow and the next day and the next day,” … [Read more...] about Supreme Court’s abortion ruling sets off new court fights
