Here's a roundup of the major concerts you can catch this summer throughout the Chicago area. Chicago's Lollapalooza Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole and Green Day are set to headline the four-day annual music festival when it returns to Grant Park in Chicago July 28-31. Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, KYGO round out the top of the bill acts. Concerts at Wrigley Field Dead & Company are returning to play at Wrigley Field on June 24-25, which is a Friday and Saturday. Originally scheduled for Aug. 29, the Def Leppard & Mötley Crüe show has been rescheduled for Friday, July 8. The theater plans to show "Top Gun: Maverick" over the Memorial Day weekend. The new operator is Downers Grove-based Classic Cinemas, which runs a chain of theaters in the Chicago area. Not all of the La Grange Theatre's auditoriums will be open at the beginning, but they should be ready by July, Classic's CEO, Chris Johnson, said Monday. "We have our inspections Wednesday," Johnson told the Village Board. "If all goes well, we'll be in good shape and be ready to go for 'Top Gun.'" The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Friday: "Last night a safety concern presented itself during the Rascal Flatts' concert in Indianapolis.
