From 2001 until 2018, Mr. Hanamirian was a tax lawyer with the firm of Kranjac Tripodi & Partners, LLP on Wall Street. For the past five years, he had also been of counsel at the Moorestown law firm run by his son, John M. Hanamirian. WASHINGTON (AP) — The acting head of the IRS says the current tax-filing season has gone well, while acknowledging the tough challenge the cash-strapped agency faces of administering the new tax law that will affect 2019 returns. Acting IRS Commissioner David Kautter told Congress Thursday that some 79 million refunds totaling about $226 billion have been issued as of April 6, averaging $2,900 — up $13 from last year. The agency, pummeled for years by criticism from congressional Republicans and … [Read more...] about A Taxing Job For The IRSCOMMENTSTop HeadlinesEPA No. 2 Official Is ConfirmedOhio County Schools Team With Diversity FirmWheeling City Council Pay Raises Headed to BallotMurray Energy Chief Robert Murray May Buy Power PlantsCommissioners Prepare for Court ConsolidationAlmost Heaven, West Virginia: Denver Lyric Becomes Part of Tourism PromotionGirl Left Out Of The GroupWarriors, Cavs Vulnerable or Headed for NBA Finals?JM Takes Down WeirFear Hinders Joy of Being A ParentWheeling Man Arrested For Alleged Contracting ScamsWJU Prof Earns Fulbright To Study German ArmyNewsletter
