Mother And Her Two Children Found Dead After Police Stand Off In Ontario
ONTARIO (CBSLA) — A woman and her two children have been found dead after a standoff with police. Her husband, who was the father of the children, was also discovered on the scene with life-threatening gun shot wounds. “He is unable to provide a statement right now which is making it even more difficult to piece together what happened here,” said Ontario Police Sgt. Bill Russell. Ontario Police responded to a 911 call early Saturday morning at F Street near Imperial Avenue. “At around 2 in the morning we heard some sort of arguing going on. We heard a man yell and then we heard about five or six loud claps that sounded like gunshots,” said neighbor Jason Gastianos. When police arrived, they discovered the woman’s husband behind the screen door of the house. While they were removing him from the home, his wife confronted them with a hand gun. The two officers then fired their weapons. They withdrew, not sure if she had been shot, and a SWAT team … [Read more...] about Mother And Her Two Children Found Dead After Police Stand Off In Ontario
Buying Impeachment: Nancy Pelosi-Aligned PAC Spends Millions to Help Swing District Democrats
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s rush to impeachment is receiving an assist from the millions of dollars at least one PAC aligned with her has already spent on House Democrats who currently represent swing districts. Those financial incentives appear to be increasingly relevant as the final vote on the two articles of impeachment is scheduled to come to the House floor this week. Pelosi needs 216 ‘yes’ votes to pass each article (there are currently four vacancies in the 435 member House), and at least two Democrats have already announced they will vote no, barring any unknown developments, leaving Pelosi with a potential 232 yes votes (231 Democrats and one independent, Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI)), 16 more than the majority she needs. But when Rep. Collin Peterson (D-MN-7) told the Globe, a newspaper in his district, on Saturday that he would be a ‘no’ vote “barring new developments,” he also said that four to five other Democrats might … [Read more...] about Buying Impeachment: Nancy Pelosi-Aligned PAC Spends Millions to Help Swing District Democrats

After Boys Lose Parents, Family Sets Up Online Fundraiser
Three boys who lost both their parents in a tragic sequence of events this week are going to need support. To help, their uncle has set up an online donation page. "In the wake of one of the hardest things I...have had to face in my life as a brother, an uncle and as a friend," Jonathan Rey wrote, "I have to remember that this tragedy didn't just happen to me but many many other people, both family and friends. Most of all, even if they don't understand it yet, my 3 beautiful, smart and innocent nephews Avery, Jordan and Tristan Rey." The three boys reportedly saw their father kill their mother Wednesday before he dropped them off near a shopping mall, then drove several miles away and fatally shot himself. The 6-year-old and 7-year-old twins were uninjured, police said, and are now in the care of relatives. Here is the page for those who would like to donate to the Rey children through GoFundMe.
