Omar Kelly: Where does Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa rank among NFL starting QBs?
The next generation of quarterbacks is coming. And some — like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen — have already arrived, becoming the marquee players of today’s NFL. And there are quite a few who are blossoming before our eyes. Eight of the league’s top-12 quarterbacks now reside in the AFC, which should indicate how tough that conference will be this year. That means quarterbacks like Tua Tagovailoa need to step up, or get left behind. If Tagovailoa doesn’t move into the top third of NFL starting quarterbacks in the next season or two, the Miami Dolphins will have wasted their time on yet another average starting quarterback. Here’s a ranking of all 32 starting QBs in the league: NFL Elites — Put these quarterbacks on any team and they are likely advancing to the postseason. 1. Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes Mahomes, who turs 27 in September, is athletic, has a cannon for an arm, and has already proven he’s a winner (53-13 record) in his four seasons as an NFL … [Read more...] about Omar Kelly: Where does Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa rank among NFL starting QBs?
Ocean explorer discovers 5 sunken WWII subs, giving closure to hundreds of families
Since she was a young girl, Helen Cashell Baldwin had been haunted by the mystery of what happened to the doomed Navy submarine USS R-12. Baldwin's father, Fredrick Edward Cashell, and 41 other men died in June 1943 when the submarine sank off the Florida Keys during a World War II training exercise. The R-12 could not be found, and as Baldwin went from an 8-year-old girl to a 75-year-old woman, she all but lost hope that it would ever be discovered. "As a teenager, I found myself looking for him, because there was never a funeral," Baldwin said. "There was never a memorial service. ... There was nothing." But in 2011, a relative forwarded her a website claiming that the submarine had been found. Ocean explorer Tim Taylor, who set up the site, wanted to get in touch with relatives of the victims. Within months of speaking with Taylor, Baldwin and her two siblings boarded a boat and headed out into the Atlantic with Taylor and his wife and fellow explorer, Christine … [Read more...] about Ocean explorer discovers 5 sunken WWII subs, giving closure to hundreds of families
She Was WWE’s First Female Referee. She Says Vince McMahon Raped Her.
Rita Chatterton (center) said Vince McMahon told her that if she “wanted a half-a-million-dollar-a-year contract,” she would have “to satisfy him.” Photo: Courtesy the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame On August 28, 2021, Rita Chatterton, a sandy-haired 64-year-old woman, stood at a podium in Albany to receive a “Trailblazer Award” from the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was the brainchild of a wrestling fan named Seth Turner, who wanted to honor Chatterton for being the World Wrestling Federation’s first female referee. “Seth calls me and says, ‘Rita, I need you to do the Hall of Fame with me,’” Chatterton recalls. At first she refused; she didn’t want to revisit her time with the WWF, now known as WWE. But Turner finally convinced her, and she was ultimately glad she did it. “I always said I don’t want to live and die and be forgotten,” she told him. Chatterton has been forgotten before. In 1992, she came forward publicly … [Read more...] about She Was WWE’s First Female Referee. She Says Vince McMahon Raped Her.
Democrat Says He Wants To Prevent ‘Geriatric’ Politicians Like Joe Biden From Running Again
Former Democratic South Carolina Rep. and gubernatorial candidate Joe Cunningham said Thursday that President Joe Biden should not run for a second term. Cunningham told CNN host John Berman that the country needs a “new generation of leadership” to enter the political realm, rather than re-elect the same “geriatric” politicians. “I think we need to have a new generation of leadership emerge,” Cunningham said. “Judges in South Carolina have to retire at age 72. Democrats have a very deep bench, and it’s time to allow a new generation to emerge and new talent. President Biden told us himself that he was just a bridge. We’re all in a car driving across that bridge, and it’s time to have the discussion as to what’s on the other side of that bridge.” The South Carolina Democrat said the president will be 82-years-old when the next election approaches in 2024 and 86 at the end of his second term. “I’m not sure if any of us know if 86-year-olds who should be running the … [Read more...] about Democrat Says He Wants To Prevent ‘Geriatric’ Politicians Like Joe Biden From Running Again
Wimbledon 2022: Serena Williams returns to grand slam action as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic headline men’s draw
(CNN) With the dust hardly settled from the clay-court season, the gaze of the tennis world has already turned to Wimbledon for the third grand slam of the year. The tournament, which gets underway on Monday, was wrapped in controversy weeks before a ball was due to be hit at SW19 with organizers banning Russian and Belarusian players amid the war in Ukraine. That decision led the ATP and WTA Tours, the governing bodies of men's and women's tennis, to strip this year's Wimbledon of ranking points , but that hasn't deterred the world's best players from taking part. Indeed, Serena Williams is scheduled to make a return to grand slam tennis after a year-long absence from the sport. This week, she has been competing in the women's doubles event at Eastbourne alongside Ons Jabeur, although the pair had to withdraw from the tournament semifinals after Jabeur picked up a knee injury. With so little match experience, it's difficult to predict how … [Read more...] about Wimbledon 2022: Serena Williams returns to grand slam action as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic headline men’s draw

Scarborough: GOP Telling You that Your Teenager Could Be Raped and Forced to Carry the Baby
MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Monday weighed in on the Supreme Court overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. Scarborough slammed the GOP and argued that Republicans were telling fellow Americans that their teenage daughters could be raped and forced to carry the baby to term despite only having more votes in one presidential election since 1992. “[D]emocrats have gotten more votes than Republicans in every presidential election since 1992, save one. Let me say that again,” Scarborough emphasized. He added, “Despite the fact that Republicans are telling you that your children have to go to school in fear of AR-15s, despite the fact Republicans are telling you that your 13 or 14-year-old girl could be raped and the state would force them to carry the rapist’s baby to term and force them to have a forced pregnancy, despite the fact you have an insurrection against the United States of America, and the Republicans won’t even investigate it — they will fight tooth … [Read more...] about Scarborough: GOP Telling You that Your Teenager Could Be Raped and Forced to Carry the Baby
