Mary Kay Letourneau and former student Vili Fualaau separating after 12 years of marriage, report says

Mary Kay Letourneau and the student she spent more than seven years in prison for having sex with are separating, according to a report. Letourneau and Vili Fualaau dominated headlines in the late 1990s after news of her crimes, which started when he was 12, emerged. However, the Seattle pair married in 2005 after Letourneau, who had been married with children during the affair, got out of prison for child rape. Fualaau, 33, who has two adult children with his former sixth grade teacher, now 55, filed for a separation earlier this month, which TMZ first reported Tuesday afternoon. Reasons cited for the separation were not immediately clear. Neither Fualaau or Letourneau own real estate and spousal support is not needed, according to KOMO-TV, citing divorce papers filed in King County. The court documents state the separating couple want their assets split equally. The pair opened up about their controversial relationship in recent years, especially during a flurry of attention leading up to 2015 interview with Barbara Walters that coincided with their 10th wedding anniversary. "They are two people who got together on extraordinary circumstances and have remained together under extraordinary circumstances," their friend and photographer Mark Greenberg told the Daily News at the time. Letourneau was sentenced to 89 months in prison in November 1997, though was paroled the next year with an order to stay away from her student. She violated the order by meeting with Fualaau, becoming pregnant with their second child together, and was sent back to prison until 2004.  The former student told ABC in 2015 that he had battled depression over the years, though the pair presented a happy picture with their daughters during that interview. At that time Fualaau was working as a DJ and Letourneau was hoping to both get back into teaching and remove herself from the Continue Reading

Sharon Osbourne opens up about ‘utter breakdown’ she experienced last year following Ozzy scandal

Sharon Osbourne is getting candid about a breakdown she suffered last year with the hope of helping others. “I feel now I have got a good grip on the problem that I have. I’m in control; it doesn’t control me,” she said on her CBS show. “If I can help somebody else along the way, I would feel great.” “The Talk” host in the spring of 2015 took a five-week break after she "collapsed from mental and physical fatigue." Now a year and a half later, the 63-year-old television personality opted to open up about what she called an “utter breakdown” during the show’s season 7 premiere. After taking on too much, Osbourne said she woke up at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Hospital and remained unaware of her circumstances for three days. “I knew nothing,” she said. “I couldn’t think, I couldn’t talk. I could do nothing. My brain just shut down on me.” In hindsight, Osbourne admitted it was easy to see the signs leading up to her collapse, but in the moment, there was little to be done. Osbourne's opening up comes on the heels of a public scandal with her husband Ozzy Osbourne. Back in May, it seemed the famous couple were set to split after 33 years of marriage when the rocker was ousted for having an affair with a young celebrity hair stylist. While things are hardly back to normal, the pair have been spotted dining together and their children have been vocal supporters of their efforts to work through their issues. “It took me days before I could even speak — I didn’t want to speak, I didn’t want to eat,” she said on her past breakdown. “I couldn’t keep thoughts in my head. My head was like a whirlpool going round and round and round, and not one thought would stay in.” In the end, Osbourne said her family checked her into a facility where Continue Reading

Richard Gere finalizes divorce settlement with Carey Lowell after more than a decade of marriage

Actor Richard Gere and actress Carey Lowell are ready for new roles after a Manhattan judge signed off Tuesday on a divorce settlement that was three years in the making. The couple separated in 2013 after 11 years of being together. They have one son, Homer, 16. Although they resolved custody issues quickly, the pair fought for several years over Gere's substantial nest egg, which has been reported to be as large as $250 million. This summer, he sold his sprawling 12 bedroom Hamptons retreat to Matt Lauer for $33 million after substantially reducing his original $65 million asking price. The terms of the couple's divorce settlement were not made public. They remain confidential under New York State law. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper, who has presided over the case, officially signed off on the deal Tuesday afternoon. Gere, 66, is an award winning actor who has appeared in dozens of movies, from light romantic comedies like “Pretty Woman” to thrillers such as “Primal Fear.” He has been married twice. His first wife was model Cindy Crawford. Lowell, 55, is best known for her roles as a Bond girl in “License to Kill” and a prosecutor on the TV show “Law & Order,” where she filmed many episodes on the steps of the courthouse where she ended her marriage. She has been divorced twice before and has a daughter by her second husband.  Continue Reading

Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne separating after 33 years of marriage

The Crazy Train is headed for Splitsville. Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and TV personality Sharon Osbourne have separated after 33 years of marriage, E! News reports. The 67-year-old rocker has already agreed to temporarily move out of their home, sources told the entertainment site. A seperate source told People that Sharon, 63, suspected the heavy metal pioneer had been having an affair. The two stars met in the 1970s at the onset of Black Sabbath's rise to fame, with Sharon eventually becoming Ozzy's manager. They wed in 1982 and have three children together: Aimee, Kelly and Jack. The famed couple became the subject of rampant divorce rumors in 2013, with both publicly refuting reports at the time that they were nearing a break up. Ozzy took to Facebook to insist they were "not divorcing" while also revealing he had been battling substance issues in recent months. He said in the post he was 44 days sober. A week later, Sharon explained on her show "The Talk" that speculation about their relationship had been blown out of proportion. "Everything that has been printed in the tabloids has been distorted," she said on the chat fest. "There's always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted." "The only thing that's true was the Facebook posting that my husband did on his Facebook where he said he's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half...and that he has been in a very dark place," she continued. "That's true. It's very true." The "Iron Man" singer's sobriety is not the cause of their recently reported break-up, according to E! News. An insider told the outlet the musician has been clean for nearly four years. Continue Reading

Ozzy Osbourne returns to public eye amid marriage drama as Sharon skips ‘The Talk’

Ozzy Osbourne has resurfaced. The Black Sabbath rocker was spotted in public — still wearing his wedding ring — for the first time Monday since reports emerged over the weekend claiming his 33-year marriage to Sharon Osbourne is disintegrating. The heavy metal icon, who was photographed carrying his dog during the outing in Los Angeles, also assured fans he hadn’t fallen off the wagon amid the drama swirling around his relationship. OZZY, SHARON OSBOURNE SEPARATING AFTER 33 YEARS OF MARRIAGE "I have been sober for three and a quarter years," he told E! News Saturday in a phone interview posted Monday. "I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate." Osbourne’s return to the spotlight came just hours after his estranged wife skipped the live broadcast of her show “The Talk.” Her co-host Julie Chen addressed her absence at the beginning of the talk show. "There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage," her co-host Julie Chen said on Monday's show. "Sharon understandably took today off," she continued. "We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same." Multiple outlets reported over the weekend that Ozzy had agreed to move out of the family home, with a source telling People that Sharon suspected the rocker was having an affair. On Monday, an insider told the magazine that Sharon was feeling "pretty down." "I don't know how much more she can take," the insider told People. "It just weighs you down." It's not the first time Ozzy and Sharon, who co-starred on MTV's reality series "The Osbournes" from 2002 to 2005, have found themselves the subject of break up rumors. The couple faced speculation that their marriage was crumbling three Continue Reading

Kelly Osbourne tweets phone number of dad Ozzy’s alleged hairstylist mistress to anyone seeking ‘a blow out and a b—job’

The daughter of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne exacted digital revenge on her dad’s alleged hairstylist mistress Monday night — by tweeting out what appeared to be her phone number to more than 4 million followers. “Anyone looking for cheap chunky LOW-lights a blow out and a b---job call (this number),” Kelly Osbourne wrote. As of Tuesday morning, the California number had been disconnected and changed — but the former “Fashion Police” co-host hadn’t deleted her doxxing. Instead, she sparred online with users calling her public attack “childish.” “are you in my family? NO YOU ARE NOT YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE DID! So keep ur high-mighty opinions to yourself!” she wrote to one. And in response to a user arguing that “it takes 2 to tango — both guilty,” the fashion designer implied that much-younger celebrity hairdresser Michelle Pugh had preyed on her dad. “my father is almost 70 ever heard of elder abuse?” Osbourne wrote. The fashion designer's mom, Sharon Osbourne, shrugged off the incident during Tuesday's episode of her chat show, "The Talk" — and even praised her daughter for having "the best sense of humor ever." "In cases like this, what can you do but laugh? You have to laugh," she said. "And she’s just so funny." "I’m always proud of my girl, and what are you going to do? Be angry with her because she loves her mum and dad and she wants us to be together?" she continued. "She loves us. She can do what she wants. She’s an adult." Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne reportedly separated earlier this month after 33 years of marriage. The family discovered Pugh’s digits in his phone when he went missing for two days in late April, Us Weekly reported last week. Following reports of their marital strife, Continue Reading

Hilary Duff, husband Mike Comrie split after three years of marriage

Hilary Duff has called it quits on her three-year marriage. The former Disney star, 26, and 33-year-old former NHL hockey player Mike Comrie have “mutually decided [on] an amicable separation," a rep for the actress confirmed to the Daily News. "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time," the rep added. The couple, who wed in August 2010 in Santa Barbara, Calif., are parents to 21-month-old son Luca Cruz. Though details of the split remain scarce, rumblings of any drama seem nonexistent. "There was no major incident – no big event between the two of them. They really did drift apart,” a source told People, adding that the pair tried couples therapy before officially splitting up. “They have put effort and thought into this decision for a long time,” the source continued. “In the end, they realized at this time, they work better as friends. And they really are great friends." The couple appeared to be on good terms as recently as New Year’s Eve, when Duff shared an Instagram photo of herself and Comrie dressed up to celebrate the holiday together. The pair were also spotted out together one week earlier when they took their tiny tot to Disneyland for the first time. Duff had always been candid when it came to gushing about her relationship with Comrie. "I've never met anyone who can say a bad word about him," she said in a 2009 interview. "He's generous, caring and sunny. We just laugh our heads off." When it came to Comrie’s parenting skills, Duff had nothing but good things to say about the first-time dad. "He's an amazing father," she said. "He's so patient and loving and involved. He's all the things that I knew that he would be." Join the Conversation: Continue Reading
